Which fact are you disputing? the one that says customers are best going to a reputable bank ie not Santander? I've not been a customer since Abbey days. My experience comes from helping a pensioner friend disentangle his finances from santander, which to date has taken 8 months. They've lost the FOS complaint twice so far.

The other fact I mentioned, was the interest rate of 3% which I took from Santander's website. I've double checked and it's still saying that. Either you're mistaken or Santander is unable to advertise it's own products accurately and honestly. Nobody needs to lie to make Santander look bad, you can't do a better job than they do themselves. The 11-15 Current account can be opened online, I'm not sure what you refer to by youth plus. The website makes no mention of it.

I appreciate you want to defend your employer, but some employers are indefensible and if I can do anything to keep a customer out of their clutches I will.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that Santander has more faults than many organisations.

All I stated was that if you were a customer of our branch you would not have any complaints or if you did they would be resolved swiftly and satisfactorily.

Hence why we have received full service bonus for 8 quarters in a row.

Santander Zero only offers 1% to existing upgrading and has done since June 29th. The Youth Plus pays 5%

The Youth Plus is not advertised on the website because it is a product that can only be opened in branch.

I fail to see why products that are not avaliable via the website need to be advertised on it.

And how exactly do you propose getting the information of in branch only products to new customers, or customers who don't have the time or energy to subject themselves to the long queues in the branch?

The youth plus is not on the website, because someone hasn't bothered to update the website, it has nothing to do with it being a branch only product.

There are several products including the "investment" products that are branch only and are on the website. Also the basic account is on the website and is a branch only product.

Also your anomaly of 8 pats on the back for not making mistakes is hardly something to be proud of. As a bank all the branches should be carrying out instructions in a manner befitting the institution and should be up to an equal standard. This is not the case.

You are one branch of many, I believe the majority of which provide a sub-standard service.

I work for Santander and can confirm that the 11-15 account can come with either a Cash Card or Online Visa Debit Card (this can be specified at opening as the Youth Plus can only be opened in branch).
I've quoted otherwise from your employer's own website.

It pays 5% on the first £500 as long as it recieves 1 credit of any amount per month. Interest is paid monthly.

I've quoted otherwise from your employer's own website ,at least in regard to the interest rate..

pmduk, I can appreciate your distaste for Santander, but when people are asking questions it would be nice to stick to the facts.
I did, if only you had bothered

The facts I've quoted come from your own employer. I believe you owe me an apology?

In the couple of years I've been on this site, I've never been accused of misleading people before, I honestly believe you're out of order.

Nobody needs to lie about Santander, they're perfectly capable of making themselves look inept without my help.

We've disagreed about your employers in the past, but I challenge you to show me where I've misled people.

I'm honestly struggling to see what point you are trying to make here.

I am quoting the facts, I am not misleading anyone.

The standard Youth account is 3%. The Youth Plus pays 5% and is only avaliable via branch. FACT.

The 11-15 must be funded with at least £1 a month to qualify for the interest and it is credit monthly.

The 16-18 is £50 per month.

Both come with Visa Debit cards if specified. Both pay the interest up to £500 and for 12 months.

The Youth Plus is only for kids whose parents have their main accounts with Santander or their parents work for Santander.

The Zero upgrade does not offer 5% for existing customers. FACT.

Doubt I will get an apology even though I was in fact correct.
