My debt is under 10k, i did it.

Still a long way to go i know, but it is soo good to see it go to 4 digits instead of 5.

Now to get it below 9k, this may take a fair few months but im up to the challenge. Need to also save some money to pay for my half of the holiday and also have enough spending money for the week. Will try and do this by saving as much change as possible and saving the odd note. Also owe my mum for my oven which is due to be paid by the end of may so will also have to cut overpayments from NCC to get that paid, so im not paying interest to my mum.

Hello diary, wel it is sunny round here, but that just looking out my window, dont know exactly how warm it is outside. Today i have paid lewis dr a tenner, water and tv licence has come out of the bank, have had to buy a few bits today just to get us through til tomorrow, when i will be doing the weekly shop. need quite a few bits including nappies for ds2.

I have started to transfer all the loose change that sits in my bank account over to my online savers account and will let that mount up to help me pay my mum for my oven and for half the holiday, hoping i wont have to cut the overpayments down too much.

Trying to stay in as much as possible so i am not going out and spending money, it does get boring for me and ds2 though. May have to invest in a good book.

Been food shopping today, Got the kids their easter eggs, they were on offer buy 1 get 2 free. Also go some great bargains in tesco, brought some jeans that were originally £22 for £2, 2 pairs of flats for 50p each (orginally £6 each) and some long boots that were originally £25, that i got for a brilliant 50p. Also went to the charity shop and got a new book for 89p.

In other news, i was stupid enough to get myself locked out of my house today, forgot to take the keys out of the door and shut the door(my door is a double lock one), which meant calling the council to get a locksmith out, they said on the phone that it could cost me £60, but when he arrived it was as easy as putting a hook through the door to open it from the inside, luckily it wasnt locked by the key, so could be opened. Luckily he didnt charge me for that.

2 birthdays this month, for my 2 eldest nieces. dont know what to buy them at all. And they always say they dont know when i ask them.

Dunno what we are doing this weekend, my ds1 said we are going for a long walk tomorrow but that is it lol.

:T:j:beer: hey congrats on getting below £10k !

with smoking, i cant offer much advice as luckily i have never smoked (no willpower so would be horrible for me to quit!) but you mentioned that you want to take care of yourself with getting your hair done and some new clothes. could you have a 'me' fund and put the money you would have spent on cigs there? might help to movtivate as not only will you be better on the inside but you will look fab on the outside as well :D

that was good news with the locksmith! :A and your tesco bargans sound fantastic :money:

Thanks clippy. tbh the not smoking isnt going well atm. And i dont know why but i always feel guilty when buying or doing anything for myself. I got my mum to cut my hair for the timebeing, so now it is shorter and a bit easy to work with.

bit of cleaning done today and been and got a few bits from iceland. Kids have been watching cartoons and playing outside, generally making a mess, so i have got plenty of little jobs to do today. Just wish they would stop helping themselves to bananas and leaving the skin on the floor, anyone would think i havent got a bin. think the boys just choose to ignore the big red one in the kitchen lol

    Thanks DFW.

Today has been a rubbish day, weather is rubbish so couldnt take the kids out anywhere apart from a quick trip up to the shops.

Cleaning has been done, going to do dinner soon and need to do the ironing at some point and get the kids bathed.

Cant wait for the weather to warm up, i hate the cold.

dont know what to do today, the sun has popped out, but on the school run this morning it was very windy. need to take my sons dsi back to the shop at some point, probably friday. i only brought it end of november and now when you press the power button, it just flashes on then straight off again. i still have the reciept and i know you get a years guarentee on electricals so going to take it back to te$co.

house is quite clean, just a few pots need cleaning. should really do some exercise, but just cant seem to motivate myself to do it. plus the food im eating is very good at the moment either.

Docs yesterday, dentist today, also started my diet again today.

Got food shopping to get tomorrow so will hopefully stick to a healthy trolley.

No payments recently, have been really short on cash, but rossendales is due on tuesday and lewis dr on thursday. Things will be tight this week, but i am hopefully that we will get through.
