Another day spent at home. I have washed the pots, swept and mopped the kitchen and living room, helped the boys clean their bedroom and helped my eldest with his homework.
Boys went out in the garden this morning but returned back inside after about 15 minutes, it was really cold.
Have been working out what money i have got coming in for the rest of the month and trying to work out where it will go when it comes.
Just had a text of boys dad saying he misses them and can he see them on tuesday, even though my eldest is at school. so he wants me to let my son off school for the day, no his education is important, and he obviously hasnt been missing them too much as this is the first time he has contacted me in about a month. Pathetic and really not worth it. He aint getting a reply cos i aint having my sons messed about.PAD Maker0 -
Well, this afternoon i have been thinking alot. most of my efforts at the moment are based around the kids and the debt. I seem to have lost myself.
just after i had my ds1, i was quite happy with my body, 5 and a half years later i am 4 stone heavier, my hair is long scruffy and has about 4 different colours in it, my clothes arent bad, but arent the best. Major overhaul needed. I have been slacking on the diet/exercise recently and instead i have been tucking into any rubbish i can find.
Need to sort out meal plans and exercise routines. then i will save up to get my hair proffesionally done, including colour as it always goes wrong when i do it at home. and as the weight comes down, the rubbish clothes will be replaced by nice clothes.PAD Maker0 -
House has been cleaned a little bit today, have watched postman far too many times today.
Has been a spend day as i had to get milk, bread and toilet rolls.
Have some change that has been bagged up and i will take that into the bank before i pick my son up.
Hate this snow, i hate being cold and cant wait for it to warm up a bit, whenever that may be.
Still looking forward to the end of this month when hopefully my debt will be below £10,000. Never thought i would see the day, but with alot of scrimping and saving and frugalness i have nearly managed it. Lotto win still would be nice though.PAD Maker0 -
Hey mandz
You're right, it's so easy to focus on the kids & debt that we forget ourselves. I'm still needing to lose a good stone to feel better but never seem to find motivation after i've done housework, sorted out the kids & bills etc so just comfort eat!
good for you for recognising it though and wanting to do something about ithow's the new house?

The new house isnt too bad. Have got a bit of damp that i am hoping the council will sort out. got a bloke coming on the 20th to plaster my bedroom ceiling and that will be an all day job. just need them to sort out why its so clod in here. But all decorating has been done.
Have banked my change and have just paid another £31 off the ncc debt.PAD Maker0 -
Well its half term this week and im skint. Had a nsd yesterday, but today i had to go out and pay £20 to rossendales and had to get some teabags and sugar. I have completed the 100 day challenge and i am already looking forward to the next one.
I have been trying to quit smoking since saturday, i am wearing a patch but i am still getting the urge to smoke aswell, sat i smoked 12, yesterday i smoked 9 (2 normal,7 roll ups) and today so far i have had 3. will have to see how it goes. even if i dont quit, i have cut down from 20, which is better than nothing.
Today is mainly keeping the boys entertained and cleaning. Already swept and mopped downstairs, just got to do the ironing, wash the pots and clean the kitchen work surfaces. Gonna try and get the boys to clean their room, if not then i will probably end up doing it.PAD Maker0 -
Payments made to NCC and lewis dr today, i have my mum to pay tomorrow for my phone bill.
Have just been on the wii for 40mins doing a bit of exercise.
Need to sort out a meal plan later for the week, as i will go shopping tomorrow and i always buy rubbish, so if i have a list, i will stick to it. No smoking isnt going well at all, the patches werent reducing my cravings at all, so need to find something that will help me.PAD Maker0 -
Well today i have been sitting in all day unable to do anything as i have 2 men from the council round to sort out the damp in my kitchen cupboard. I thought someone was coming to do my bedroom ceiling, like the woman on the phone said, but obviously not. I have someone coming on friday morning also to do my bedroom door.
No payments to the debt this week, but there will be next week, need at least £71 payments to get it below the 10k.PAD Maker0 -
Wow has been a week since i last updated.
Not alot to report, went out on saturday night for a mates birthday which was quite good, dont get to go out often so was a nice change.
I am switching my gas and electric suppliers in the hope that it will save me some pennies.
Pay day tomorrow, so will make payments to rossendales. Need to pay my mum off and pay something towards the holiday, so overpayments will be going down for the next couple of months, but will try and find a happy medium between paying money of the debt and off mum.
