Woohoo I'm back online :jHope you are all okay :)

    Pink - Happy birthday x

Busy day at work, I'm exhausted now. I've finished taking my antibiotics for sinusitus but think it's catching up with me now. That plus all the packing, so fed up of cardboard boxes :( :rotfl:. Need to do some more packing tonight though, can't wait til I'm all moved in.

But I have wangled next week off work :D and am only taking 2 days leave for it! I get 2 free days to move house, and I have a hospital appt on another day so am taking 2 days leave to give me a whole week off :D I haven't had any leave bar one day yet this year so it's well overdue!

OS wise - WM been on with my sofa blanket, dinner will be something from the freezer, DW will go on tonight, CBA to make packed lunch so will rummage to see if I have any tins or packet stuff like couscous I can take instead.

    Have a good evening all

Just got in from DDs ,boys were lovely today and very helpful bless them Itreated them to some chocolate milkshakes as they have been so good.very hot and sticky at the moment my eldest Dds ma-in-law phoned just now to say its bucketing down where she lives about 20 odd miles away I am hoping we get some here as its just so uncomfortable and humid.Opticians left a message on the answer machine to say my new specs are ready for picking up so I'll get them tomorrow .then its off to the beach at Broadstairs possibly with ben, mikey and Dd as the other two boys are on a day out with their youth group. So it will be a deck chair, an sun-umbrella and a nice book or newspaper for me tomorrow as Ben will be digging around for bait on the beach, and Mikey will be sandcastle-ing with his mum(my dd loves building sandcastles)Forecast is 27 tomorrow so we may get a bit of a breeze at the coast hopefully.
Hope everyone has had a good day
    Cheers chums

  • It has been so hot today, i love the heat but when i have a pool to dip in and out of.

So after coming on here this morning, OH woke up and he walked with me to the shop, i just love it :D got the local paper and posted off my sick note, then we walked along the river, a way we hadn't been before and came home.

Read the paper then i blitzed then kitchen from top to toe, even cleaning the oven!!

OH has been moving things around in the garden, then i got too hot so put my tankini on, grabbed my kindle and laid on the sunbed reading. But then it was far too hot so stopped that and laid on the sofa and fell asleep, oops lol

Have cooked a lovely tea of Slow-cooked lamb steaks with yorkshire pud, mash and cabbage, yum yum.

Going to investigate how to do patchwork, as i bought some cath kidston squares from ebay and want to make a cushion, but have never done any patchwork, so need to know what i'm doing first.

Now going to sit and watch Eastenders and Holby i think

    Happy birthday to Pink.

Up to my eyes in "stuff" here, need to do a million and one things, and made a big boob with an Ebay order last week, which I thought I had paid for, and never. Now its costing me almost twice as much as its stuff for the wedding, and I need it next day delivery. I could slap myself sometimes/ :(

    Three days to go :j:j:j

Hugs and spoons and much love from me.

    Hello

Not been on here for ages. The summer holidays have arrived which gives me much more "me" time and chance to get back to os ways. I really need to get organised. Just back from the Cambridge Folk Festival and the house is full of camping stuff and washing/ironing. Have a million and one jobs to do before school reopens, plan is to write a list and work through it starting with the most important jobs whilst still allowing lots of fun time.

Been lovely reading the thread and catching up.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    evening everyone

Hope you have had a great birthday Pink xx
    Betheebe
Lou glad you enjoyed your time away xx

OS here has mainly been looking at my lists and whimpering.

DS wedding on Saturday, we are staying 2 nights in a travelodge then camping for the rest of the week, it's like two hols in one, am trying to sort out what we need for the weekend then what we need for the rest of the week. Also had major strop from DSD as we don't have electric hook up for the tent, OH has spoken to the site, she can plug straighteners in, in their office :rotfl::D

DD thinks that the baby now has chicken pox so she won't be able to go to the wedding, her OH is working so I have said we will take the DGDs 1 is 3, the other just coming up 2 no probs love to take them just need to see if the spots are chicken pox or heat bumps....not looking good as both the others have had cp one after the other.

My mum is ringing every night re the wedding, my OH is picking them up, thought they were getting taxi home...now its how are we getting home agggrrrrrrhhhhhh reception is 18 miles away from their house, DD says if we take DGDs she will take them to church so then I need lift back to reception with them aggggrrrrhhh again

I THINK work may be stressful at the moment but TBH it's going straight over my head lol

  • Bargainbird - thank you, it was half google and half invention!

Hope everyones day was good in the end.

Work was busy but pleasant today and then I came home and had a freeze pop before I did anything else! I rang the garage and booked my car in for a service next week, cooked tea and did the laundry. I watered the tomatoes and the garden in pots.

More new style than old style, but still money saving - I used a voucher I got from mysurvey to buy this book on amazon - Organize Now - a week by week guide to simplify your space and life. Boy do I hope it works! Unfortunately it doesn't have a week on organizing your craft room but I guess I could do that in the week I'm supposed to be organizing my pregnancy as I'm not pregnant!

Mr Hedgesparrow brought home two big bagfuls of yellow plums so we are going to try to make jam tommorrow. As if it isn't hot enough already! But the advantage to all this sunny weather is that I am wearing shorts and a vest top every evening which is going to really help me catch up with laundry!

Have a great night. Off to declutter the craft room.
