    Good Morning OS friends.

Feeling distinctly stressed this morning. Waiting on payments, letters and now a huge long form to fill in for my funding:(:(:( It's putting a dampener on my holiday preparations for next week at Centre Parcs.

I also have two appointments today - one in Northampton and one in Oxford with a mad dash in between. Oh well it has to be done I suppose.

We are enjoying nice food after our baking festival at the weekend. I must admit to chocolate sponge cake for breakfast but felt justified given the day ahead:eek::eek::eek:

Really pleased you had a good relaxing break Lou xx

Have a good day OS or not xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Off to work later for a late shift. Making them all cheese and potato pie for tea:) and possibly a nice pudd as one of the service users has got her sister visiting for tea(her sister is also blind and lives on her own so she enjoys a bit of company and pampering)

have had a tidy and quick clean downstairs. Second load of washing in machine.

Off to the hospital tomorrow for my 6 monthly cervical check up, be glad when thats over again.

Redruby - hope your DD gets a job soon after all her hard work x

Molly - good luck with your funding x x x

    Happy Birthday Pink!

    Good morning,

Happy Birthday Pink. I hope you get lots of :bdaycake:

Bramble I learnt the hard way that the cats don't see frozen food as a problem when the defrosting prawns mysteriously vanished.

The house elf is also doing the circus reading challenge, only this year he is reading the books himself instead of me reading them to him :T

Today we're going to the tip, then to put petrol in the car before it comes to a halt. When we come home I will be doing the ironing after I have set up the small person's mermaid garden and cut out some paper mermaids. We seem to be having a small mermaid relapse this week, but so far, he's still a boy rather than being a mermaid himself. I think I may need to make some more cakes. When I see what the elf and his friends eat in the school holidays, I wonder how they survive at school with just their lunch. They are all so skinny you could count their ribs too.

We should have been at the dentist with the elf this morning, except that my dentist very kindly fitted George's checkup in at the end of my visit yesterday to save us going back again :)

One more thing - we have finally managed to sneak some pumpkin plants past the slugs and snails that usually eat them. They are taking over the garden......

    Take care all of you

I am still around, reading mostly, do not post often. Its been a busy 2 years and I am suffering a bit just now with a fibro flare up and not sleeping as I should. Still quilting, have a quilt in the Scottish Quilt Championships at the end of September. We have just had our quilt groups biennial show which was very success.

Its pouring with rain and very grey, it saved me watering the garden, we need rain badly.

Lovely day here today so more washing being done.smiley-chores003.gif
DS managed to get a little weeding done last night but that was at 7pm and it was still hot then. He said he will do some more for me this evening.
I had to use the hose last night because both of the water barrels are empty.
Just having a pottering sort of day because my ankles are up like ballons again, so I should go back to Dr to get some more diuretics.
Feel better now that I have had a shower, but I expect I will feel uber sticky again in about and hour. The forecasters reckon we could hit 29 to 30 degrees today

Happy Birthday Pink,smiley-greet002.gif hope you have a great day x

Cranky my main bug bear this year are earwigs, they have decimated my hostas :(

    Happy Birthday Pinkypops :D:bdaycake:

I'm waiting for a delivery, and BIL is coming round to pick up a door. I hate waiting for the doorbell to ring, I feel like I can't get on with things :undecided

The guina pigs are have a run around in the hall and kitchen, I daren't go into the lounge - where I actually have things to do - because the second I open the door, they'll run in and start chewing wires :D

I sorted out the greenhouses yesterday, there's lots of green tomatoes. We're overrun with eggs. I've got some boiling ATM, I'll put a few in the fridge and pickle the rest.

The bannister needs another coat of paint, then that's the painting done. I'm refusing to do any of it (long story), so mr tru has to fit it in when he's home. Then we can put the flooring down and skirting boards on.

I have been up since 3am because of the rammy being caused across the road by the police arresting a drunk woman from a house and I think her equally drunk mother on crutches being removed from the house and dumped in a taxi by them. Not even sure who is currently living in the house, it's been a constant stream of different tennants as it wouldn't sell!
Need to get DS up and take to the bank, needs a bank account number for his college bursary application! Will also take mum shopping for a new living room light fitting, then come home and iron uniforms for work. My back is covered in an itchy rash, am wondering if its the uniforms????
Never mind, have a good day all.
