My favourite low calorie breakfast/lunch is. As many tomatoes and mushrooms as I can eat. Quarter the toms on a plate and nuke for a minute or so. Poach the mushrooms in a little water in the microwave. Add one slice of toast or an egg and it's under 150 cals. Gorgeous with a little ground black pepper. For hubby you could add a sausage or a rasher of bacon.

Don't do something else while you are eating (like watching TV, or reading, or doing a crossword). This makes you much more aware of the food, and you get fuller quicker.
I know it might sound like a "yeah, right!" thing, but I promise you it's not. It really does work. (I lost three stone following the WeightWatchers principles. I didn't go to the meetings or anything, maybe I'd have lost it quicker if I had!)
This is one of the techniches that paul Mackenna uses on his think yourself slim programme too! and also eating only until you feel full and not scoffing a whole plateful because you don't want to leave it:rolleyes:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi everyone......... Happy New Year.
I've only just got back from staying with friends for the holiday and really need to get back on the wagon.
I joined Slimming World exactly a year ago and had lost 4st by Sept. Still needed to lose at least another stone but stopped going and fell off the wagon whilst staying with my daughter temporarily. She's a curry and chocolate addict and you have to be sociable don't you.
Moved into new house a few weeks ago, so now the holiday is over I have pick myself up, dust myself off and start all over again!
I think any sensible eating programme will work if you stick to it, there's no secret is there???
SW worked for me even though I couldn't get my head round the 'eat as much as you want' ethos.
To get back to the OP's question, I would certainly try SW particularly the Green Days. I lived on veg and pulse type soups. Anything you want in there including potatoes, pasta, pulses......... always add loads of flavouring, spices, herbs, chilli, curry, anything you fancy to give it a 'big' taste. Loads of baked potatoes, loads of fruit too. You never have to count any of the free foods.
Well, at least I've persuaded myself now, so good luck every one. See you on the 'small side'.0 -
