Six year old lives in Princess dress.

Aw! Bless her. My son used to go around in a Batman suit and a pair of wellies! I got used to it and then wonder why peeps would stare. I got some not very nice comments, but who cares? My son grew out of it then insisted on wearing a spy headgear set everywhere or his miners head torch. Yes, my son is still eccentric!
If it makes your little girl happy, then why not? I would have loved the chance to wear stuff like that when I was little.0 -
my 7 year old lives in her Princess Leia outfits....she *IS* princess Leia and her brother is Luke and i am Padme....
She wears these outfits all the time and has had a star wars birthday party for the past 3 years...... other girls in her class wear teenage style outfits....but mine does not seem to notice no one else is living a star wars life...

My daughter is 6 and regularly looks like she got dressed in the dark!
Her current favourite outfit is football kit shorts over wooly tights (the brighter, the better), and a t shirt. She looks a mess!
We also went through the fairy/princess stage.
Enjoy it while it lasts!0 -
My little one is 5 and obsessed with Princess too, although she has stopped wearing her costumes so much because A) the cat follows her around trying to eat them and
she loves painting/drawing/colouring, and felt tip on Giselle from enchanted's wedding dress is a bobbin to clean!
She used to wear them out to play in the park but they were quite restrictive as they are so long and poufy. She regularly becomes Cinderella/Snow White/Whomever to go to Tescos etc though0 -
My daughter is 7 1/2 and likes to be a crocodile most of the time, in this outfit
We also have the lion version too, which was worn (out) so much we had to buy a second.
I LOVE seeing her in it, she wears it to the shops, around the house. I grew up with a very stiff, stepford wife-esque mother who passed all of her insecurities on to me, so I was determined that my daughter would be allowed to run free with her imagination.... and at the moment that happens to be being a crocodile.0 -

Me too. I'm currently freelancing somewhere that involves sharing a lift with some of the doyens (?) of high fashion. I'd been warned that everyone checks out what everyone else is wearing but far from feeling intimidated I'm holding my head high, I have style, my style!
For what it's worth I wasn't allowed a party dress when I was child (sadly it was crimplene suits all the way for me  ) and I'd have loved one!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
Gingin I love that crocodile costume!
I think it's lovely that your daughter is happy enough and secure enough to wear her princess dress Rachel, it's nicer than her dressing too old for her age which worries me! I used to love dressing up and I didn't like wearing trousers when I was little, it was frilly dresses all the way! I haven't got children yet but I'll be encouraging their creativity, I love seeing what combinations children come up with when they're allowed to dress themselves! My MIL just loves telling me about the time my OH was 5 and lived in his Superman costume with his little Hovis biscuit tin as his 'purse'!
My only issue with the princess dresses is that they don't do them in Big Girl's sizes, I want one! I also want Lelli Kellys! I'm 26 going on 6!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
