Parking fine in disabled bay

I agree, I heard on local news that the number of cases of people bogusly using Disabled badges was on the increase ie people using a disc when the owner of the disc is not with them, perhaps the TS would think differently if he was deprived of a disabled space because someone was using a badge they were not entitled too, presumably he would want the Trafic Warden? Parking Attendant to throw the book at them.
As for Family bays, they are not always close to the door and it's not about not having to walk to far, it's about space, it is very diffecult to strap a baby or a todler into a car when you can't get the doors fully open, I admit some families take things too far, our local Tescos states the the spaces are for familes with children under 5 yet you see parents with teenagers use them.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -

Then do what all the other caring mums do around here, take 2 spaces,
. I'm actually being serious, my daughter does this with her twins and I, as a disabled driver do too, if wide spaces are not available.
But don't try it on a council run car park.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

:rotfl:
Plenty? Are you sure? I can't remember the last time I saw parents pushing a twin buggy in the supermarket. Maybe a few parents do but not many.
My aunt had twins in the days before 'parent and child' parking. I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain she managed to go shopping for a number of years without either of my cousins being run over.Happy with my advice? The please use the 'thanks' button vvvvvvvvvvvvv0 -

Anything that will prevent people taking double buggies to supermarkets, cluttering up the aisles and and deafening all passers by is to be recommended.0

I get more than a little ticked off when people for whom dispensation has been made start to play up and beg for more bending of the rules etc. On the one hand, we have the para-Olympics where disability is played down and on the other hand we have quite minor ailments used as if they were at Death's door.
The other week I questioned a portly woman driving a convertible who parked in a disabled bay and she said that her husband was disabled. When I stated that she should really be displaying his badge, even non disabled people objected. I find that very odd. She could not show a disabled badge !
I am actually moving to the point where I take a picture of my ticket, just so the Gestapo cannot find a way of stating I did not have one. Perhaps that is the best defence.0 -
So have you paid the fine? It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0
