e2save 12 month free offer cancelled!!??

I sign up the e2save 12 month rental free deal (Samsung D600 clearance) on 26 Dec. I later received an email telling me that they have problems with their system and would take 48 hours to sort out. When I check the order status earlier this afternoon, I found that the order has now been cancelled (they couldn't even be bothered to inform me).

Has any one got the same experience, and more importantly, what can I do now!! (I opt for e2save thinking that they are part of a big plc and should be more reliable and trustworthy - obviously not when they choose to cancel the order unilaterally without informing anyone).

I have phoned their sales dept and the guy who answered the phone said something about "out of stock" and I should check back in one to two weeks time to see whether some similar deals would reappear (he also hinted that the 12 month deal would not be availalbe again, but probably 11 month free instead).

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

i got the 12 month free lg chocolate contract from e2save... they were advertising as 12 month free on the website between the 24-27th dec 2006.
they just called me up afetr i have recieved the phone by post saying there been an error and its not 12 month free but only 10 months free....

are they allowed to do this after ive bought the deal.

can they change terms and conditions afterwards .
i jus feel cheated and misled as i thought i was getting a 12 month free deal not a 10 month free.

are there any consumer laws that can protect me and help me.

i need help and advice please...thanks

    In a word - NO

Have you details of what you ordered and the T&C etc saying 12 months free? If so then write them a nice letter telling to to fufill thier end of the contract. Followed by if not Trading standards will be in contact and maybe even the ASA if it was advertised on thier site. They will soon back down once you get in contact with thier local Trading Standards.

The ASA doesn’t cover material at a company’s place of business. So, that excludes shop displays, company websites, etc.

I ordered a D600 Chrome refurb on the 12 month free deal on Boxing Day expecting next day delivery (Thursday allowing for the holiday), but instead got an email after 2 days saying they were out of stock but that new stock would arrive withing 7-10 working days. Two days after that, a brand new (not refurb) D600 in full retail packaging with accessories arrived. I was rather pleased.

However, I arrived home to a voicemail last night asking me to call e2save so I did so this morning, to be told that the new phone was sent in error, but I could return it and wait for a refurb or keep it but get 10 months free rather than twelve. I pointed out that the phone was now second hand as I'd been using it since Saturday and that I wasn't willing to wait for a refurb as my Orange contract had started and was little use with no phone. After some humming and hawing, they upped the offer to 11 months. I pushed more for twelve but they wouldn't budge. I suppose a brand new D600 for £30 isn't a bad deal, but I am a bit miffed.

The story they are spinning is that when offer phones go out of stock, the system sends out the next best thing but somehow has sent out new stock instead of the next best refurb and it wasn't caught because of the holidays.

If e2save/OSPS are changing the deal from 12 months free line rental to 10 months free line rental, are they allowed to do this?

Since, we have got either email confirmation or sales invoice from their side saying 12 months free line rental. We have got in writing from them.

Unfortunately, I also purchased around Christmas time and currently out of UK, so do not know whether they called me to inform regarding the change of contract.
