I don't need any more info thanks. It's asking or trying to make people sign up to it's services when they could do it themselves for free.

    And still lying.....

IF you believe this then you should write a letter to the Ministry Of Justice because they have the power to close them down .

With several replies already deleted, probably best not to engage in further discussion with "former CAG employee".

I'm just wondering how far they'll go indefence of them...and I admit, I am only engaging in replies so that anyone who searches for them, will hopefully find this thread and see exactly how stupid their supporters are - with their "suggesting that people actually use these companies to keep people in work when they are spamming/cold calling and outright lying to people?"

I don't think this poster is a genuine "supporter" of CMCs, nor do I believe she is a former employee of one.

I believe the remarks are from a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, either accidentally or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response … ;)

  • I've received a phone call from CAG and it was quite well structured, plenty of open leading questions devised to elicit information and confirm "probable's", if that makes sense?
They also mentioned the fees, they gave an example and when I questioned it, they repeated it, on a £1000 award they would charge a fee of £390.
They have sent the paperwork through to my ex, and I now have it here. It's not getting signed, it's going on the fire tonight.
I don't think they are scamming, really. Just fishing and sadly some greedy and/or gullible people are falling for it.

They're pretty much been forced to clean up as they come under the control of one of the regulatory bodies shortly, still a bunch of muppets taking money they don't earn by convincing people it's hard to claim or that they offer a service and getting people hooked in before they realise that they have to do all the work and the CMC just posts off the complaint letter.

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

  • Ok so yes I fell for the cold calling from this group and allowed them to look into an account for me. A couple of months later I received a text from the saying that they had been unsuccessful as the loan ppi had already been settled by the bank. I have now received an invoice for an account I did not ask or give permission to look into. Are they allowed to do this? Any advice on how to deal with this if not.

    Thanks

If you signed a contract for them to operate on your behalf, it will have included a clause that if you had claimed back already and don't tell them, meaning they waste time trying to claim it back a second time they can bill you for admin costs. Chances are also the contract will have allowed them to investigate all of your accounts for PPI hence them finding the loan that you had already claimed back?

Read what you sign and check what they put in their contract - if you didn't sign a contract for them they will be stuffed
