see posts #5 and #6, my Saturday transfer showed up cleared on Tuesday.
Phoned my bank .
Fast pay isn't guaranteed and they're sending it the olde fashioned way on Monday (even though my account has been debited today) . So the £5k won't be at Derbyshire until Wednesday or Thursday .
Edit to say: Yep , I realise the above is in the wrong forum as this has nothing to do with Derbyshire BS who have so far caused me absolutely zero problems .
Should really be in the "Smile want to keep my money for as long as possible" forum .
Just thought I'd clarify .0 -
Hmmm, I'm beginning to wonder if their website was written by a schoolboy.
I just tried a test transfer out. It says "Add a reference for this payment (if you want to)", I didn't want to, so left it blank. When I hit the Submit button, I get a warning message saying "You must specify a reference for this transfer". Groan!Stompa0 -
There is something seriously wrong with the Derbyshire.
I opened my account last week with a £1 cheque. Yesterday my account was up and running so I transferred £99 (ninety nine pounds) as a test FP payment from my bank.
This morning my Derbyshire balance is showing as £9,900. (Nine thousand and nine hundred pounds).
Yes, I have made £9,800 (Nine thousand and eight hundred pounds) profit overnight !!!!!!!
Now I feel I cannot trust them with my money at all. Don't know if the problem is human or their website.
Wonder how long before they discover their error.0 -

I don't think you can be too excited...my balance also got a double this morning....now shows £100,1000 -
My balance was a decimal place out (x10) last night, but is correct now, however a BACS that should have cleared today is not showing yet - maybe later on... still not good for confidence.0

I opened our account with a cheque for £100 which they received and set up on 3rd August.
We had our activation letters today, and after the initial set-up problems which others have encountered (see earlier posts) I logged in again and found that the available balance was still zero. I phoned them and was told that it could take up to eight days before the cheque was cleared and the money became available.
Is that right? It seems incredibly slow compared to other accounts I've held and could cause problems in future."The trouble with quotations on the Internet is that you never know whether they are genuine" - Charles Dickens0 -

The letter did also state that interest will be paid from the date they received the cheque.
Further payments are by electronic transfer only so cheque clearing will not be an issue.0 -
yes, my cheque took days to clear, my 1st electronic transfer was cleared days before the cheque amount was added.0

Yes, it appears to accept FP in. Though for me (so far), the transaction doesn't seem to appear on the Derbyshire website until the following day. Perhaps they only update once daily?
