Today went a bit weird cos a freind rang to say she was coming round with her kids in an hour (not asking - telling!) So did a serious crisis clean, with the kids helping (ds loves cleaning).

Had a truly mad day with 2x9year olds, 1x6 year old and 1x4 year old playing dress up knights and ladies, football, dancing, fighting, scooting round park etc etc all day. Am all worn out now and ds asked to go to bed at 7pm! Am hoping for a rest tomorrow!

    Guyettes, quick Q:

A friend of mine is thinking of opening a joint account with her OH. She has an excellent credit rating, his not so much. So far, in terms of all household bills, there names are seperate and there is no pre-existing financial link. If they open a joint account, can his less good credit rating affect hers?

    Fanks! :p

Think that there is something on here and Martin says NEVER have a joint account because yes they do link you together but I also believe that you can ask to be seperated if they do link together on credit records. Sorry that wasnt much help but there is something somewhere on here.

Can I please ask that you all send positive vibes at 1.15pm tomorrow for my daughter? She is attending her medical for DLA, and this is the third time of applying for it. Last time she was declined, she spiralled into a deep depression and I don't know if she could cope again, so as much positivity as possible would be gratefully received.

Okay folks - remember I was asking "big" questions on Friday night (thanks for all the replies and support by the way) - well right on cue MAJOR MELTDOWN today and I mean MAJOR and lots of them :o.

Next time I start pondering the deep questions, someone may want to phone Mr Thrifty and warn him not to come home for a few days. So after chewing him up and spitting him out, several times in quick succession - poor man, it isn't his fault (we are both doing fab jobs under extremely trying circumstances) - we sat down and have formulated a plan going forward.

We worked out that I am breaking down every 3-4 months (never, ever did this in the past) whereas Mr Thrifty is managing to plod on regardless and we came to the conclusion that Mr Thrifty is getting a break, allbeit the break is going to work & coming home, but a break of routine it is with all the associated benefits. Whereas I have been caring 24/7 for the past 2.5 years without a break(as some of you know we manage so well, ds is classed as not being severe enough for us to warrant respite care - <ironic smilie here>).

So.... we are going to re-jig the debt-busting and work in 3-4 short MSE breaks a year, 2-4 days at a time, in the UK all for me :T:T:T

I cannot tell you the ABSOLUTE RELIEF I feel - I feel I can cope again.... so thank you again, to all you lovely, wonderful folks, you will never know or appreciate how much of a support you all are and how much I owe you.

From the bottom of my heart, love to all, Thriftyxxx

Eta: Sending positive vibes for your daughter Tenmah and my thoughts and love go to you as well. Please come on to tell us how it went so that we can support you.

Tenmah - we'll be thinking of her. And as thrifty says, let us know what we can do for you.

Thrifty - how about a Matrix tour... Come and visit whichever of us is accessible by special off travel deals. In fact... Just a thought... You could do Matrix house and pet sitting...

That's what I thought as well - I'm just looking for a link to show her.

Anyone know where that link is hiding? It's wearing net camouflage! ;)

P.S. Best of luck to tenmah's daughter & greenbee, are you getting better? x

I'll get better quicker if you finish your CV.... Not doing too badly. Very tired today with a strange pain. Hope it's gone tomorrow. Day 2 of medication.... Effects won't really kick in until next week. Not looking forward to it :( and I have to start doing proper work then too...

Trying not to worry too much about friends in London.
