:T That's cheered me up - drove home, parked up and pulled the handbrake on - and on - an on - and on ..................................
oops!!! ........................... driven it round to the garage and left it with them, new handbrake cable I think. Still can't be helped - especially as I live on a hill
Could be a tres frugal end to the holidays

TMIF - If you have a BT line there are lots of other people you can go to apart from TT! E.g. a broadband provider who does internet calls like Zen (based in Rochdale), Utility Warehouse (UK call centre) (PM me if you want to talk with someone who will tell you how it is an then let you decide), the satelite lot (though I wouldn't bother). I even think some of the mobile companies do broadband and home phones (maybe O2?)
If you want to speak with UK then call after India has gone to bed (they are +5hr), so try 7pm and you may get somewhere other then Delhi!0 -
Interesting NL... when I did the search on my phone exchange it was BT Wholesale (so presumably any company which provide BB on the actual BT line) plus Talktalk LLU, also a max speed 1.5mbps... in the sticks, love it
I couldn't even get free Sky BB when I called up to ask about it, because at the time it was a BT only exchange.
I called at 8.30pm... they must have had the late shift on... when I asked she said she was in Delhi...0 -
I thought sky went through the satellite dish. Just shows how much i know.... Like you I still have a BT exchange (line unbundling is taking it's time in rural areas) but at least I have ok speed as I'm in commuter territory. My parents have broadband that barely qualifies for the term...0

£44.95
There goes the budget - still at least it will be safe to park the car again and it could have been something really expensive.
I'm sure £45 can be squeezed out of a few weeks budget on a wee store cupboard challenge.

My courgette has got really exciting ... every time I cut a small courgette a couple more seem to appear over night
I have enough to make scones with grated courgette!
The pumpkin plants are showing promise. One was mauled by a slug so needs to catch up, but the other has two kumquat size pumpkins!!!!0
