MG, Does this mean that the ladies can queue up soon and follow you in with the bags of pennies? I hope so we are waiting for that day in great anticipation!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That's the plan :D And it will be the most brilliant day, cake, bunting, champagne and Matrixettes as far as the eye can see.

For those of you going "What are you on about MG????"

I made a vow to the thread ladies -way before the Matrix was born, just after I had been left with "71 p and three nappies" that we would one day march together into the Big Horse Bank and pay off my mortgage in £1 coins - I can't remember who then suggested we did it at 5 to 5 on the Friday before a Bank Holiday Monday with a film crew in tow.:rotfl::rotfl:

You gotta have a dream :rotfl::rotfl:

I've just had some bad news, my dog's been put down :( He was 14 and a half and apparently his liver and kidneys were going so he would've gone in the next few weeks anyway. I only knew him for 2 years but I'm really going to miss him. I'll try and be more positive in my next post....

(((hugs)) willow92. So sorry to hear that.:(

Erm!!!! Crickett love, I think the £400K might just be my fault!!! but I rehung my "big cheque" three days ago and this is the third time that number has come up.

Last time was when I was having a pre-holiday chat with FW and she pulled the number out of thin air (she now refers to me as "that white witch")

Hope you find the blip your end - me I'm just waiting for the cheque to be cashed as I know "its on the way".

Thanks MG... I had spent the afternoon panicking madly and feeling pretty awful so decided to take my life in my hands and speak to my boss about it. She was great... and then told me that the reason I had silly numbers and was missing £400K was because I had messed up my reports and it was giving me the wrong numbers. So my boss a) congratulated me for being MUCH closer to the target (£65K off my forecast... that's MUCH better!) and then b) showed me what to look at on the ledger and the reports system so I can stop panicking next time! So a good day really! Oh, and hubby is cooking for me, because I am shattered!! :)

Edited to Add: Willow, I am so sorry about your beastie. :( Take care of yourself and cry lots if you need to.

Fantasia, good to hear from you... keep going honey and keep popping back for positivity top ups please!!

  • That should help you inspire some confidence in yourself and your ability Crickett. You're fab. Remember it :)

Sorry about your woofy friend Willow :(

Go MG and the £10k realisation :D

Lovely to hear from you Fantasia, we are all thinking of you.

MG, what a great target to reach! Well done!

And great to hear from you too Mike, that was a truly beautiful post.

My working week is now finished and I'm off to see what today's de-cluttering exercise is - then a hot bath is calling me, and an early bed.

Thank you everyone, I have tears in my eyes after reading that thing about Rainbow Bridge coz I can imagine him there as he was before he got ill. He'd be bounding around trying to bark at the window cleaner with a ball in his mouth. Oh and btw was it someone on this thread who couldn't bear to hoover as their dog's hairs on the carpet were the only thing they had left of their dog? I may do something similar, our dog used to press his nose against the glass by the front door. I think I'll leave those smudges there a little bit longer....

I'm going to leave my dog walking business for a little bit as I don't want to upset everyone at home by mentioning dogs etc.

    Hope you're all okay.
