Hmm not sure how to take the last post MG :p is ok though cos current govt is all for teachers not having qualifications either (free schools and re-trained squaddies and school-based training all come to mind!)

I'm with FW I'm afraid - looking at how our Education system is being "asset stripped" and de-valued. Think the point he was making is that talented teachers are in teaching - talented business builders tend to be in business

Busy day being the boss cos the boss was out all day and as per usual nowt of any significance happened - this usually happens when I am in charge tbh and is fine by me, although on the odd occasion there is a crisis I am Mrs Calm.

Isn't this always the way - they are not here - so funnily enough no dramas!!

Have got to pay for my lovely new wall today so the money that hs been lingering in my account is all about to disappear - well it was nice looking at it for a while and it WILL be growing again soon.

That's the spirit hon - at least you can look at the wall knowing it is bought and paid for.

Off to pack the rucksack for DS1 - he is off kayaking with the school tomorrow.

I am pooped today. I had my third Monday night (or should I say Tuesday morning) teleseminar last night. Seriously pooped. Only three more sessions to go. It is so worth it thou. And I am not going to makd 18 NSDs this month as my diesel light came on. Need to scrape the bottoms of purse and bank account to get enough tomorrow to last until Saturday. I might get to 17 if I can do a store cupboard challenge lasting for the rest of the month (i.e. past Friday)

  • Its the Goo Goo Dolls and Peppa Pig chez TMIF!! Best not to ask maybe :)
  • WE are still at the Peppa Pig stage here - although Sean and Timmy really has his heart.

Thanks for all the PMs re helping Kids for Kids - every little bit helps and we are looking forward to seeing the kids get their new kit soon.

Busy day today - nature school for littlie and bigger one is off kayaking at local centre. Thankfully today is shaping up to being a balmy, late summer kind of day - much better than the gloom and rain of yesterday.

Off to give them both a decent breakfast and send them on their way.

Morning - house grotty but dh off today so he has a list of to-do's and is in charge of getting final bits for dd's birthday tomorrow. Am feeling lurg cos got bitten to death while doing my 15 mins of gardening yesterday and am very allergic to nibbly things. Bites are all at back of knees and ouchy so might have to go and waste a few hours at the drop in for stronger drugs (have got some reading to do for maths course so at least I can use the time)

    Already hot and sunny here:)

MG - today's blog post has soup in the title when you are talking about soap.

I am recovered little bit after good night sleep. My replacement at work starts today (I am not physically moving, just doing different stuff) so very exciting.

  • Right - stand by your beds ladies.

In 50 days it will be 2 years exactly since the Big Horse Bank crunched me - and I was thinking what greater cause for celebration would there be than to have paid off the last of the debt by that date.

The total as of last week was £1283.35 - so today I have transferred £83.35 from my precious savings account to make the number £1200.

Now to put my thinking cap on to come up with a way to pay the rest -

.............. so close, so close, so close
