    Clydesdale Bank

Letter dated 29th July, received 8th August

I haven't made a claim but received letter saying my (now finished) loan had been reviewed and ppi was unsuitable, would write again shortly with a refund offer.

Phoned today regarding timeline, only info she could give me was that they are trying to resolve claims within 8 weeks of claims being made

Friday 26th August, still not heard anything, so telephoned PPI Team again.
Was told final response letter would be sent out shortly, with a part for me accept / decline offer. Once acceptance was returned I will receive refund either by cheque or direct to my bank - whichever I preferred.
Lady on the phone seemed really helpful, but couldn't tell me if letter would be with me before 31st August.

Hi gio, give it a week or so for the offer letter to arrive, ours arrived yesterday, 8 days after date of letter. On the form there was nothing about a cheque, but had lines and details for filling in bank account details, snet back today by Special Delivery for Monday before 1pm, they do send a 2nd classed addressed envelope!!
Thanks to all the competition posters.

CB payout received, with an extra few hundred pounds. Payment made gross which means OH has to contact HMRC to advise for tax purposes in relation to the 8% interest payments.

Thankfully this one is almost over.

Good luck all and keep in touch with how you get on.
