This thread is designed to give a quick reference to show how quickly peoples claims are being dealt with by CB/YB. Not one of the banks granted a extension to the standard 8 week complaint timeline, but seem to run over their alloted time.

Further letter this morning,apologising for delay and working hard to complete my complaint.No time specified other than complaint handler will be in touch in due course.

Update from CB today
"I am writing further to our previous correspondence regarding your complaint.
I am sorry that there has been a delay in resolving your complaint. Wea re working hard to complete our investigations and as soon as we can we will be in contact with you.
One of our complaint handlers will be in touch in due course.
If you wish, you may refer your complaint to FOS, there address is....."
I had emailed the ppi email address on Friday and got a reply today, saying letter was in the post, and basically saying the same as letter, had copied ceo, david thorburn into message but nothing as yet, will mark them up for another few weeks.Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
Just checked my emails before going to bed there and had a reply from a senior manager of the ppi team after emailing the ceo on Friday evening, said she will contact us tomorrow, oooh!Thanks to all the competition posters.0

Letter dated 29th July, received 8th August
I haven't made a claim but received letter saying my (now finished) loan had been reviewed and ppi was unsuitable, would write again shortly with a refund offer.
Phoned today regarding timeline, only info she could give me was that they are trying to resolve claims within 8 weeks of claims being made0 -
Received an email stating final response letter sent out on 10th August-Royal Mail slow as usual.Hopefully here tomorrowQuis custodiet ipsos custodes?0
