Oh hallelujah Sarah, thanks for the listen Lord, .... re LD and well done to DD, that's fantastic and I'm pleased Emo went down well.
My daughter had an Emo fringe once and my son tagged her as Emo Phillips on Facebook....
Back on topic. I had my eyebrows threaded today for the first time, and I am so pleased with the results. They have always been thick-ish and unruly, though they have thinned out with age.
They now have a lovely shape, far better results than I ever get with tweezers.
It was actually more painful than I was anticipating, I have a high pain threshold but it felt like hot needle jabs - ouch!
Gritted my teeth, tried not to wince and it was over very quickly, really.
The threading was done in a busy shopping mall (The Cornmill in Darlington, for those that know it) and I was a little self-conscious, but all was well, I didn't have an audience.
A small UU. I think it was Alberto VO5 Nourish Me Truly? A shampoo and conditioner freebie anyway, free with Marie Claire.
WIBA? No, but only because it's so similar to L'Oreal Elvive and I am quite happy with that.
Those sachets can be so annoying, I know you shouldn't look gift horses in the mouth but....
I suppose they have to be a certain size to lie flattish in magazines but some must get left in the sachet. Most sachets now seem to be 8ml rather than 10 too. I had enough for my hair but it wasn't a generous application.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Hurrah for LD and DD Sarah - so pleased !!!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0

I'm not doing bad at all...no real INs only one accidental one as I picked up original source cocoa & vanilla bath stuff (or whatever it is) as it was buy one get one free...was going to use them both as part of presents, but one had a broken seal! someone must have opened it to have a sniff!
so I ended up having to keep that one (what a shame!)
but apart from that I'm all good for this month so far!0 -
Aww glad to hear your dog is ok sarah. My neighbour's cat came home yesterday from having his manhood taken away and well, she let him out the cage and he went ballistic! Knocked every single vase she owns off of various tables and windows! He was so desperate to get out!
No UU or IN's today, but loads of spluttering going on!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Sarah - great to read all your happy news, what a day!
Have been seriously tempted by the current BS offer, but keep thinking of my mountain of shower gels. My body lotions are going down, but for some reason I'm hoarding shower gels like there's no tomorrow!
One more UU here - L'eau d'issey perfume 100ml. Already have a new bottle in the stash.
We are off on holiday tomorrow, always go hiking late summer / autumn. As we are self-catering have lots of travel sized products with me which will hopefully all be UU.

Morning all, been awol recently, but have some UU's to declare:
Avon Naturals Body Yogurt - WIBA? - No it was a chore to use up and the smell was really sickly.
Batiste Fresh Dry Shampoo - WIBA? - Yes always do but try to get a shipping order in, when its on offer. Quite like the smell of this on, unlike the Blush one.
Gatineau Floracil Eye Makeup Remover - WIBA? - No very overpriced. Its nice and gentle on your eyes, but doesnt do as good a job as the Botanics one.
Dove Nourishing Oil Care Conditioner - WIBA? - Got this as a freebie with MC mag last month. It was quite nice but nowt special.
Radox Nourish Shower Gel - WIBA? - Yes I would, its always on offer and is a nice product.0 -
1 GA - half a bottle of coco madamoiselle parfum as it really makes me sneeze and i finally gave in and gave it to sister. might try the lidl smell alike one as a substitute0

Excellent news Sarah*a. :T:T:T:T:T
My daughter got Most Likely To..... Be a Politician in the year book.

Happy Birthday CharlieSo ... what did you get????
I have some IN's - my Avon order came early
1 x Cherry Shampoo
1`x Cherry Hair Mask (conditioner)
2 x Lime Mojito Cooling Foot Spray
1 x White Chocolate Lipbalm
I don't really need any of it except the foot spray
I also got a face powder but I don't count my make-up as I don't have much and only replace when absolutely neccesary.
I've had a look through the next book and there's nothing I need - but they do have a 5 for £5 offer so am debating whether to stock up on shampoo/conditioner etc. I'll decide over the weekend.
LD doing well today - he slept like a log last night and has been dosing all day on the sofa - so nothing really new there :rotfl: He's has a good appetite and is getting his bearings back slowly. Big Dog is a little put out so we are making a bit of a fuss of her when we can
Hope everyone is having a good day :cool:0
