Just one IN, I'm going away for a few days and don't want to take a big bottle, so bought a CW Takeaway Heat Defence Spray as I've been wanting to try it anyway.0

I love following this thread and would like to take part myself.
Quick rundown- I moved in to my own flat a few months ago so some of my toiletries/make up/beauty stuff is here and some still at my parents. Been over and brought another bag of bits over today. Really need to work my way through some of it and stop buying things I already have.
Don't think I'll need any more body lotion/butter or shower gel until the end of the year! :eek:April £5 a day challenge- £15.05/£1500 -

3 more UU today!
Lush Porridge Soap - WIBA? Love the scent so probably yes, but not for a while, got a lot of other soaps and stuff to go through.
Lush So White ballistic - WIBA? It's LE so probably not, not a great lover of the scent to be honest
Lush Honey Chick ballistic - WIBA? Again its LE so probably not, had it lying around for a while and I'm impressed it still has it's scent and fizzed up nicely!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
bunberry, it is not too late to join. Welcome to this friendly thread.
I joined last year and have really managed to use up what I have got and have also managed not to buy too many products. My stash now fit in to 2 small drawers in the bathroom.
Good luck with the challenge
Thank you for the lovely welcome, I'm sure I'll love it here:)
IN
Ciate Paint Pot in Wait Until Dark - came free with this month's Marie Claire. Looks very pretty in the bottle but needs at least 2 coats, otherwise the colour is a bit flat & blah. Only cost £3.60 as opposed to the RRP of £9 :T
UU
Nude Advanced Cellular Renewal Serum - a nice serum but I wouldn't buy again as I don't think it's worth £68, however it does last ages because I only used one drop at a time. This was a freebie anyway.
Korres Sugar Crystal Eye Serum - light but not very moisturizing, and honestly I don't need an eye serum as well as eye cream. Doesn't do anything for puffiness like it claims to either.
Korres Wild Rose 24 Hour Moisturizer - smells great but only contains SPF6 and takes a while to absorb, initially leaves a whiteish cast too. Won't repurchase.0 -
Another 2 UU for me today yay!!!
s&g catch a wrinkle in time WIBA yes i love the smell of s&g stuff and it was very moisturising to my skin, im onto BS aloe day cream now.
An eye makeup remover that i had to trial WIBA definately yes if i find out what it is, as it took every remain on mascara off and you hardly had to use any. Im all out of eye remover now, anybody have any reconmendations?0 -
anyone got any tips for getting conditioner out of a charles worthington bottle? i find it a really awkward shape to squeeze and the bottle is made of really stiff plastic!!0

Went shopping yesterday and was quite proud of how restrained I was in Boots. Bought razor blades for MrM, 3 x Boots cucumber wipes for Emma (she's attending a Theatre Summer Project at the mo and as the show takes place at the end of this week I've got her these for removing theatre make up whilst there) and a bottle of Models Own light blue nail lacquer for Emma.
Have decided to use sweet smelling shower stuff this week so will be using: -
S&G Breakfast scrub on the go (this is spluttering so reckon will be finished some time this month),
Philosophy Eggnog shower gel - huge bottle and there's still loads left
Boots Fairtrade Extracts honey body butter - this is only the small pot but a little seems to be going a long way so this probably won't run out this month.
Painted my nails yesterday as well. Am wearing the Marvala grey lacquer that was free with Elle on my toes. Not sure about it. The coverage wasn't that great and to me it looks more of a lavender colour than grey. Don't think I'm destined to own a grey that suits me.
On my finger nails I'm wearing OPI Houston We Have a Purple.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I hate bottles like that - iirc Charles W. conditioner is a weird ellipse shape. I think the only solution is to prop the bottle upside down with the cap screwed firmly on and let gravity do the work for you. For a bottle that shape putting it inside a plastic jug might be the easiest way to keep it upright and upside down.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
First OUT for the month over the weekend - Ted Baker London Bodywear Divine Invigorating Body Wash. WBA as it smelt nice and was very moisturising and lathered up well. It's also quite reasonably priced at just over £5 for a 300ml bottle. Next up: TBS Nutmeg & Vanilla.
On bottles, I keep them all upside down. The worst ones though are the triangular tubes that body scrub and body lotion quite often come in that open at the bottom, kind of like a paint tube - they always have to be cut open and you end up with loads of product left in there. They're really wasteful in my view. However, I also hate stiff bottles, which Lush seem to be particularly bad for in recent years; my bottle of Glogg shower gel was really difficult to squeeze."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
