Years ago I knew of a junkie who would hang around Sainsburys looking for receipts then fill his trolley with whatever was on the receipt then walk out the store, if he was stopped he just show them the receipt & said he'd paid. Not sure if that would be feasible these day's (not that I'm suggesting it) with the majority of shopping done on credit cards.
    Booo!!!

What a great idea! I'd never thought of that ...... :D
  • I used to work in a newsagents come supermarket, which was quite close to a rugby league stadium. One day I noticed a very dodgy looking man browsing through the magazines (collar up, beanie hat pulled right down, almost over his eyes). I told the manager that I thought he was a shoplifter and was about to steal something, only for my manager to point out that the 'shoplifter' was in fact, a famous rugby player who obviously didn't want to be recognised! I was slightly embarrassed......

A couple of weeks ago I was shopping in Morrison's when I picked up a leg of lamb and a man commented that it was over priced and I was best of buying better quality meat at costco. I put the meat back and thought nothing of it and decided to go to costco the following week when I get paid. A couple of days later one of my co-workers said some guy that works at Morrison's said they were having a meat clearance sale and all the stock had been reduced, so if any of us wanted any meat just to let her know and he will bring it over at dinner. I don't buy food sold out of the back of a car as I don't know where it's been and I have no receipt.
And guess who was dropping the meat off...........albeit to say the man couldn't look me in the eye when he saw me.
It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun
