Ok, I'm just going to declare and get it over with. I'm not sure how much I've spent, but I'm definitely red!! I was a little optimistic with my pledge of £20, not taking into account that I will probably spend that much alone this evening with my friends! I've also taken advantage of a couple of deals on camping things which I will need in a couple of week. At last count I'd spent £20.90, and even though yesterday was a NSD I have today gone out for lunch with work people and am out tonight too :undecided
Oh well! New and improved frugal-ness starts Sunday! I have lots to pay for over the next few months so I have to be really ridiculously tight! Will have a think and come back with my pledge for next week.
Well done for those of you who have achievedgreen status!

Hello!!
Back from the Loire after a lovely holiday with the BF and his family. And I didn't burn :j Went to lots of chateaux and after seeing lots of painting of kings with crooked noses I am now convinced I'm French nobility
Spent a lot of time talking with BF about finances - he reeeeally wants to leave his job, which would mean leaving the staff flat and paying rent and bills again. The plan we've come up with is to live off his wages and save mine, mainly because he doesn't have the motivation to keep an eye on what he spends so he'll have a set amount to spend each week on himself and the rest is used for us to live. Fingers crossed this works!!
I'll be rejoining the challenge next week, and massive *hugs* to elsiepac

Hi all
Really well done to everyone who's posted results so far this week - seems like everyone's doing well! Personally, I've had my first green week in a long time! :j It could have been slightly less, as I was buying cigs in 10s as trying to quit, would've been cheaper slightly to buy 20s, but hey ho. I haven't had one yet today, I don't plan to, I have none on me, I want to quit. We'll see!
31 Jul - Coffee - £2.75
31 Jul - Cigs - £6.50
31 Jul - White wine and soda - £3.95
1 Aug - Milk and Bananas - £1.71
1 Aug - Cigs - £3.29
2 Aug - Tesco Misc - £9.13
3 Aug - True - NSD!
4 Aug - Cigs - £3.30
4 Aug - Cigs (again!) - £3.30
4 Aug - Olives for at my friends and some towards a little cake for a colleague's birthday - £7.00
5 Aug - Cigs - £3.30
5 Aug - Drinks - £7.10
5 Aug - Starbucks - £3.00
Total so far: £54.33/£60
Considering I was at my friends for dinner and drinks on Thursday and stayed the night and basically spent a fiver on nibbles for that as brought wine from my big delivery, and that I was very brave and went on a date last night and had a lovely meal with a really lovely guy, he paid so didn't spend anything (the drinks were from earlier in the evening when we'd had a drink with everyone from work before going out together).
I've had a great week on bargains.
1. Did that Boots shop which was just under £60 and saved nearly £20.
2. A Starbucks complaint I'd made and forgotten about paid off when I received 2 "have any drink on us" vouchers in the post - to me that's £6.
3. Graze tried to put my box price up (I only have one every 2 or 3 weeks) and I sent some very snotty emails, so they agreed to lower it again and my next 3 were half price at £1.49 now.
4. Used my Tesco voucher from Crowdity today (due to missing out on the Ocado deal) and paid £38 including delivery for a big stock up shop - my voucher was £20 and I also saved £21.75 in various deals, so it is a shop worth about £80.
Quite pleased with myself!
First post updated all, shout if I miss anyone!

so, i spent a final £17.65 on takeaway yesterday evening, making my grand total for the week
£68.10 / £75.00!!!
elsie, well done with the not smoking today and the bargains! also, it sounds like u had a nice week0 -
Another good result, well done jo-urney!
I'm trying to work out my pledge for next week...hmm!!
Edit: Ok, I'd like to pledge £70 please. I don't want to spend anywhere near that really, but I'm going to the cinema with my mum on Monday evening (I have Monday off work, yay!) - we're going to see Horrible Bosses, I can't wait, it looks really funny! But it's my turn to pay for us both as she paid for us both last month when I didn't have the extra. I'm budgeting £20 for that as the cinema is EXTORTIONATE!!! Next month should resume normal business and pay for ourselves!
I'm going out again with the guy from Friday at some point - I suspect Friday again, which will be another meal. He paid last Friday, so this time it's definitely fair to split (I did offer last time but he didn't take it - I don't really know how this dating stuff works having stayed away for so long due to he-who-shall-not-be-named). So I'm budgeting maybe £25 for that? Is that reasonable? Or will I have to pay for both of us as he paid last time? I just don't know! Help! Anyway, that leaves me with £25 for anything else, which technically I shouldn't need much of. Coffee today (I'm paying for it as my vouchers have no expiry so I'll save them for when I have no money, then they'll be a treat!) but I'm stocked up on food, toiletries etc and I'm not planning to smoke. Had my last one at 2230 on Friday night :-)
Sorry for ramble, can't get my head round all this!
