  • Woah, I've just tried to catch up with all of the posts since I was last on here, on Saturday. It seems like a lot has happened to everyone.

:T Well done to everyone for NSDs, weightloss, new jobs, first dates etc...

:grouphug: Big hugs to everyone struggling with NSDs, uni applications, pets etc...

I can't believe how quick this week has gone & how I've not had any time to come on here. Even though I've not been posting I have been thinking about this board and trying to be good.

I didn't spend anything on Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Taking me to 10 NSDs. I'm really annoyed though as it should be more. Yesterday was supposed to be a NSD which I'd planned all week. I knew I wouldn't be able to take lunch to work with me but was determined not to spend so had decided to use my Subcard points to pay at Subway which worked, so I was really pleased with myself. Then when I got home who should turn up but the flipping window cleaner. :( He's a pain in the neck, I never know when he's going to turn up & he always comes when I don't want him to. As he'd caused me to spend I decided to walk to the shop & get some beer in. I've got loads of booze in the house (I don't actually drink much!) but didn't have any lager & that's what I fancied.

Keep up the good work everyone & I'll try not to leave it so long next time before posting.

cheryl - sorry to hear about pooch, just what you don't need :(

I'm feeling really rubbish today, so have treated myself to a small hot chocolate from Co$ta coffee which has helped slightly. No, not a NSD for me.

  • Hi,

    Yeay it's Friday! *wiggle*

NSD 12 yesterday. I would declare for today but I really think I am going to have to buy some fruit cider. I've been thinking about it all week - wine just hasn't hit the spot when I've tried :D

Feeling pretty poo as well (hence needing to cheer up with alkifrol) - keep arguing with my best friend. We don't spend much time together anymore because as she put it "I want to go out and have fun, not just hang around at each others houses. You need to lighten up".

I've tried to tell her I really can't afford to go out, but she has waaay more disposable income than me (I have none!) and I don't think she understands where I am coming from! And if I do go out, I can't stop thinking about the money I am spending on overpriced drinks and then I am not very good company anyway :(

Not much I can do about it really but just needed get it off my chest. Sorry :o

  • not a good spend day - find it really difficult to say no to the husband about buying things but then end up struggling with money :(

    Ok - I'm declaring today a NSD
The logic for this is as follows:

    Mystery shop fee = +£10

    Spend in Lake£and = -£5.50

Spend in M&$ for birthday pressie £14 - BUT it was PLANNED and money set aside.
Therefore, ignoring the birthday pressie, I am in profit for the day.:D OH is stumping up for the vet fees later so can I please claim NSD # 10 Spoon?
Also, it could be another tomorrow - getting my hair done but the money is nestling in my "other" purse, so provided I steer clear of the shops I should be fine;)
