:hello: Hello all! me again (and happy birthday Lily)

Well against the odds I seem to have clocked up a NSD :j taking me to 6 NSD and half way to target.

I did go into to the town next to me today BUT was taking things back (combo of internet orders and stuff I'd bought but wasn't right) Total returns was about £240  (though most of that is going back on my cc)

I did end up in TK M*xx, bought three new knives, two pasta bowls and errr...a new bag - total £38 BUT I had my voucher from earlier in the year so doesn't count

Also picked up a couple of grocery bits when I was passing Mr M but since we still have some funds in our grocery budget I will take the money back from that.

I need to start working on a couple of lists for more groceries. We're getting a bit low on some things we need as standard so I need a list for that, plus I'm going to try another coupon busting shop so need a list for that - then some cross referncing etc etc blah blah.... hmmm...task for tomorrow I think.

So, anyone seen Spoony? I thought I saw the tardis fly past in a blur of blue but it was doing some irratic spinny thing and going very fast  I'm all ready for one of Igors left handed creations this evening....in that I have the alka seltzer ready for tomorrow :rotfl:

:j:j:jCheryl - for no 4, you’re doing great, keep going!
Thanks for the update, lots of bargains acquired this week. Hope you managed to get the ribbons today and avoided all other temptations. Would you mind telling me where the habedashery shop is, I didn’t think there were any left in Manchester, thanks

abakh@n fabrics on Oldham Street - almost completely at the far end from Pic Gardens (on the left if that's where you're headed from)

yes I managed to get ribbons, and pins, and poppers 'on a strip' (wasn't sure they still made it as it's 20 years since I last made a quilt cover - but it's gone up in price a lot since then!!), and sewing threads, and some bias binding (going to make loops in the corners of the cover, and sew some pieces with poppers onto the quilt that feed thru the loops - I'm sick of struggling to get corners of quilts into covers, only to have the quilt 'walk' during the night)

however I nipped into Prim@rk to see if they had any cropped leggings (needed one pair each in black and white as a couple of my 'dresses' are more of a long top and desperately need something worn with them) which was a successful mission - possibly too successful as I also left with another 3 dresses. However the lot only came to £17, so quite happy with that :)

as I'd lost my NSD I then nipped into Qu@lity Save to pick up some nibbles for on the bus home - had lunch before I left and took water with me, but was starving :(

Today was a spend due to going to work for my special order burgers..... also picked up a couple of other items while I was there.

Tomorrow's going to be a spend day as well. Getting sick of the sight of home/work, so decided to give myself a 'day off'. Turns out my chap's not working either (about time he had a chill out day), but is as skint as me so said he can't afford to go anywhere. So I told him I was actually planning to use some extra money I had in yesterdays pay pack to fuel the car and take the dog somewhere - mainly 'cos the mutt's been rather neglected this week due to my decorating.....

So (as long as the weather forecast I've seen is right - or at least pretty close to being ;) ) he's thinking of somewhere to go and we - probably I - need to put together a pack-up (going to have to go and put my bread machine on, as that's one thing I didn't pick up today..... but other than cheese I don't think I've actually got anything to make butties with !!!!) Will probably have to get liquid gold in the morning though, as I'm down to a quarter tank - just depends on where he suggests we go.

EDIT: Not bothering with bread machine - it's late now, and he reckons he won't be up until 11am...... that gives me time to get liquid gold and sandwich materials before he's up :)

*Slap* *Boot* Is that enough Spendx3?! I don't have any pics to help illustrate my point but I'm sure Spoony or someone else will help you out :D

I'm the same, I bought some sweets today even tho I am trying not to spend on un-needed things! Anyway other than that I also bought a couple of other things, from cheap shops, whilst I was in town banking a cheque so its a spendy for me today!

I also bought a lotto ticket for the 1st time in years (feeling lucky, and desperate!) - and a scratchcard which had winnings of 4pound (stupid laptop no pound sign!) which paid for itself and the lotto ticket :) Off to check if I've won...

Edit - I didn't, I had one number over two lines. Oh well back to saving money rather than winning it!

Thanks Cheryl, that's fab:T, I'd completely forgotten about them. I desperately need some bits and bobs so I can see a visit coming on.

Good idea re the quilt corners, I've done that with mine, I can't stand "walking" quilts either.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow x
