All the best people are left handed you know!;)
But I can't use tin openers, they are a nightmare, only made for right handed people.

    Frodo,

The only can openers I've had a problem with (other than electric ones:mad:) are the cheap ones that are normally around 99p. I've enjoyed more success with better quality ones from the bigger supermarkets/hardware shops etc around £3-£4.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Woohoo Happy Left Handed day :-)

I think being left handed means you just learn to adapt to right handed things, I know I have and right handed people don't always believe that it could actually be a problem using things 'the wrong way round'.

Back to 'business' today should have been a NSD but now wont be as we've got no bread and DD who is 3 had a meltdown over there being no toast this morning so it can't wait until my shopping day on mon unfortunately.

    Have a great day all

Didn't manage to resist wine temptation on Friday and feeling a tad sensitive today. I thought that since i'd already spent pennies on shopping might aswell splash out!

On the upside, got a very lazy day planned in the house and hoping for a NSD :D
    Will update tomorrow. Have a good Saturday everyone x x x x x

    Happy Left Handers day everyone!

I am one of those lefties who wrties 'over the top' of the page so as not to smudge the writing, I remember one particualr teacher when I was about 10 making me sit behind and practise writing like a right hander would 'normally' do. Until she realised it was a complete waste of time.
    Frodo,

Oddly enough, my mum bought me a left-handed can opener years ago and I couldn't use it for toffee, too many years of being used to adapting to right handed ones. I also eat right handed as my mum didn't really realise when I was learning to use a knife and fork, when I was little I did have a bad habit of using my knife to push food apart rather than cut it (thankfully have addressed that now :o) Oh, and when I learned the guitar, I naturally picked it up like a right hander - odd eh?

Am a bit of a cross bunny this morning, got up to find last night OH had drunk ALL the free bacardi drinks I picked up in the week (3 of them) didn't even leave one for me to try. I'm even more annoyed as when I got the first two, I purposefully bought two the same so we'd be able to have one each.:mad::mad:

On the upside, I won a R1mmel mascara this morning (though am restraining myself from asking OH if he'd like to use that all up too)

Good afternoon folks from a very wet, but warm NI:eek:. I hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend. A spend day for me today I'm afraid, as I had to do a bit of shopping, but got a few bargains:D.

    NSD 10 today.

solventsoon - Thanks for asking about my accident. Yes, I seem ok which I cannot figure out as I slipped with speed and it seemed like I was "lifted" into the air before landing on the stainless steel surface. Anyhow, somebody once said to me "things happen for a reason".

No can't use then either. What really winds me up is when banks have pens on a chain on the right hand side. Rant over.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day.:)

Ohhh yes, that is an annoying one.

Oddly enough, I use a computer mouse with my right hand (perhaps that's because they are always on the right and I never thought to move it) but use the mouse on the keyboard of my laptop with my left.

Did you know that kayak paddles come in left and right handed versions? (I kid you not!)

    Hello everyone!

I've been really busy, so I've been AWOL from the forum - I last posted on 04/08/11 and I now have 20 pages to catch up on! I don't think I'll ever catch up on what's been going on, so I hope everyone is well!

Whilst I've been AWOL, I've managed to catch 5 NSDs, so I'm now up to 8 NSDs! Yay! :j
