I think, though I may be wrong, that your holiday place was not far from us! Is it on the East coast?

To be honest...I have no idea!!!:rotfl:I'll try & find out...I know it's a quieter part of the Island that's meant to be ideal for families or those wanting a 'quieter' holiday.....

  • Morning brummiebabe - yes we did enjoy Ibiza. Calla LLonga is a lovely resort and our hotel was a 2 minte walk to the beach. It doesn't have any nightclubs, just restaurants /bars. We went to the water park aswell by bus & that wasn't bad either. Don't worry - I don't think the all night ravers will be on your side of the island!

Thanks Long tall Sally...am more reassured now:D

Well today's been a really busy day...work was manic & I didn't end up leaving until gone 5.15!!! I'm now finished for 11 days so had a lot to try & sort out & had a couple of difficult clients to deal with - I'm beginning to chill out a bit now...:)

Healthy eating is continuing well. I've not had any snacks, crisps, chocolate or other unhealthy snacks so am really pleased with myself! Just hope I lose a bit of weight by the time of weigh myself at the weekend, otherwise I shall be a bit downhearted. Am definitely feeling less bloated though, so that's gotta be a good thing:rotfl:

Have done another half an hour ironing, the mountain is reducing very slowly. I haven't managed to do much else around the house tonight other than tidying up. My house always becomes a tip over the school holidays.

So tomorrow is DS1's 11th birthday_party_:bdaycake: & I've been wrapping his couple of presents. He wants money (sign he's growing up) but we got him a couple of gifts. We're planning on taking him out for lunch tomorrow so it should be a lovely day:D

I also am pleased to announce that I've had a NSD!!!!!

Onwards & upwards.....am off to bed, will post my 'list' tomorrow. Am pleased to report that my FB use has drastically reduced.....may even be beginning to get myself a life!!!!!:rotfl:

    Good morning all:j

Am quickly popping in as I won't get much chance later - another busy day ahead. DS1 has had a nice morning so far, and was pleased with his presents and money:). He wants to go to a cycle shop today to look for a new BMX. He's got his heart set on having a new one, even though he's got one that is not that old:mad:. It's his money though, so he can buy what he wants I suppose.

Am looking after my niece today so really need to go & get ready before she arrives. 4 kids for the day.....should be fun:eek:

    Today's list

    Get birthday cake for DS1
Put on a load of washing
    Half an hour ironing (again!!)
    Trip to the bike shop
    Dust & vacuum downstairs
    Change our bed
Take DS1 to see Nan & Grandad - sing happy birthday, have a (small) piece of cake
    General tidy up!!
Sort out boys' clothes in their wardrobe....so much they never wear!!!! So am going to be ruthless:rotfl:
Think about more effective wardrobe storage for their toys

    Right...off to the shower!!!

  • I definitely need to go through my kids wardrobes & my own, come to think of it! There is so much in all 3 & half of it probably doesn't fit anymore.
Hope your son enjoys his birthday.

    [STRIKE]General tidy up!![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort out boys' clothes in their wardrobe....so much they never wear!!!! So am going to be ruthless[/STRIKE]:rotfl:
Think about more effective wardrobe storage for their toys have rearranged some things and thrown out some stuff...used old storage boxes and they seem to be a bit better now there's not so much in them!!

Right, so that was yesterday's list...not fully completed but we had a really lovely day with it being DS' birthday,o I don't mind...

As for today, well it's been a busy morning. So far, I have:
    • Done 3 loads of washing and hung out on the line
    • Looked after my niece (well...still am...)
    • Taken DD to a party, had to take the other 3 along and luckily it was fine for them to stay and play too, plus they got food and a party bag!:money:I didn't have to spend anything!!
    • Done lunch (no spend there)
    • Internet banking - accounts looking good!:T
    • Paid off my Next account £84.34:j- there is still £34 worth of stuff still to be delivered, but I'll pay that off as soon as it's billed!
    • Thought about ironing.......;)
    So still to do:
    • Take a tablet for a headache - keep thinking it'll go away, but it's not:(
    • Half an hour ironing
    • Cook dinner (toad-in-the-hole for kids, jacket potato/chicken/salad for me & DH)
    • DS2's swimming lesson
    • Read for 15 minutes (because it just makes me fall asleep....)
    • Get DD to eat something
Must be off, will check back in shortly.

That was rather an abrupt end to my last post, but had to go & sort out DD;)

So I have managed to achieve most of what I wanted to. The headache eventually went, but I have felt rather crappy & tired all day....I know why, and it should only be for a couple of days, but I could do without it really.

Have a busy weekend ahead. It's my niece's birthday tomorrow so we're going to see her in the morning. Then DS1 is going to a friend's party, and he's having a friend over for a sleepover. He's then got a friendly footy match on Sunday....it's getting back to that time when every Sunday is going to be dominated by the boys' football:mad: Somewhere in the middle of it all I need to take him to the uniform shop to get his blazer/jumpers/sports kit...don't want to leave it too late in case they have to order them in!

My youngest two will happily amuse themselves most of the time, things are generally much calmer when DS1 is kept busy;)

So I'm off to bed I think. Can't think of a proper list for tomorrow yet...too tired...but couple of things I need to remind myself to do at some point
    1. Phone tax credits re: reduction in nursery fees
    2. Book dentist/GP appointment (for me....have been putting them off)
    Goodnight all xxx
