if you take it in and they attempt to fob you off you should demand a full refund against the original purchase price,0

Not fit for purpose !!!!!!!!!!!!
I appologise for not seeking your permission to post on a public forum, ( NOT ) grow up we are all entitled to share our opinions and knowledge on here !
After all it does not say that this is visidigi's forum, you dont make the rules so kindly refrain from your childish rants as they are neither wanted nor required on here.0 -
Not fit for purpose? It was bought in August 2010 - its certainly fit for purpose for the 10 months it was working - indeed its beleived to be damaged in transit - so still not the fault of the retailer or the product build itself.
Your 'demand a full refund on retail price' comment has no legal justification. There are no rights under any regulation or law that entitles the purchaser to a full original refund. The retailer has the right to offer a refund, repair or replacement, at their choosing - a refund, if applicable would likely incur a significant reduction on the base of use and current market value.
As for your post, you're entitled to an opinion if factually correct - otherwise, I am equally entitled to correct you.
The only childish rant here is yours, and Ill gladly quote it to ensure you can't hide from it.crazyguy wrote:Not fit for purpose !!!!!!!!!!!!

SOGA allows for (amongst other things) "any reimbursement to the buyer may be reduced to take account of the use he has had of the goods since they were delivered to him".0 -
If they have failed to repair the item as per the terms then as a customer you are entitled to by law to request a full refund of the original price paid.
It does not matter that you paid £1400.00, 10 months ago and now you can get them for lets say £900.00, you have every right to request and the company have to adhere to certain laws that will state you get the full price refunded back not what its worth 10 moths later.
That is the most stupid post I have ever heard.
If they do not refund then it has to be goods to the original value given in place, not a reduced amount.0 -

If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -

if it has been sent in for repair and come back as op described then you have given them the oppertunity to fix it and then you can go back and request a refund if they then say no you just make small court claim as you have acted correctly and therefore have every right to pur sue an action against them via the courts.0
