Moved to BT Vision - Missold?

Hi,
Some 3 months ago I moved from Sky to BT Vision after a phone call from 1 rep stating prices etc...They were a lot cheaper, I am paying some £30 a month less, which is nice.
However I stated when she phoned I would only move if BT Vision had Discovery and National Geopraphic etc, she said yes they do on demand and that the programs we like (Deadliest Catch, Nasa etc et) would come on, they never have...
I stated at the time and she assured me on the phone these would be showing and that I would be able to see them on "Demand" TV, when in reality the programmes hardly ever change, the programmes we wanted have been on Sky for months now.
I feel completely hoowinked into signing upto a service I was promised existed but in reality does not.
Do I have any comeback on this?
I am currently signed upto an 18month contract, 3 month in and it is far from what I was told on the phone BT Vision is/was..

I would say they are in breach of the verbal contract to which they agreed when you called.
But put your complaint in writing first - and await their written response.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks,
I put it in an email last week, nothing yet, is there a template I could use to put it in formal writing?

Still having issues, I emailed twice, got a response on the 2nd email 4 days later telling me to phone, this I did last Wednesday, I was told she would phone back within 5 days, it's now been 7.
I emailed again, heard nothing.
Where do I stand on this? Apparently there is a 28 day cut off period for this, however when the salesperson "sold" me BT vision she stated the programs take longer to show than our current provider "Sky" so we gave it 12 weeks for these programs, which I believe is long enough.
When I phoned she told me because the sales person had said that and we had done what was told she would forward this to the relevant department with a note to this affect....
But they are now no longer answering.
What on earth do I do, this to me is utterly indefensible, I asked her to check with her records of the recoreded conversation, this would clearly show her telling me these were available...
Need advise please, I shall persue this as far as needed

Having had BT broadband for 4 years I had no complaints. I recieved a call from BT asking me to renew my yearly contract with an offer to also have BT Vision for free.
I refused as due to work I don't watch much television and had Freeview any way.
"What have you got to lose, it's all free" the nice lady said.
It arrived but once again due to work I didn't get it set up until 2 months later.
I found that I am being charged £12.50 for the service I never asked for or wanted for 4 months, 2 months before setting it up.
I was misled in getting the BT Vision service, and have tried BT Customer services to sort it out to no avail, I will have to pay a cancelation fee.
I was told that a miss sell complaint is only valid after a certain time.
Be warned if BT contact you and tell you it's free, it isn't.0 -

do people really not check out whats available before agreeing to this stuff?
for example Sky sports 1/2 is a cost extra with Sky
so I would be checking if BT offered it for free. on checking I see it is an extra cost channel with BT0 -
I asked the girl on the phone twice and she said I get all the sports channels.0
