I've made £60 this week, mainly from stopping smoking. I'm putting the money I would have spent on the cigs towards this challenge. Also did a couple of mystery shops and sold some cds on Amazon. Once I've stopped smoking for a month I will get £400 from my dad which will take me to the bronze level. Which is good because I'm running out of stuff to sell!Total debt May 2005 £83,232

can anyone help me with a question???
i know the script behind bank charges and that these should go in brackets next to your total, but i'm not sure whether the same rule applies here!
The tax man has just written to me and said i've been paying to much NI?!?!? anyway for the year 2004/05, they have now sent me a cheque for £1200!!!
should i put it in brackets because i've not done anything different to get this back (apart from work during that year!!!!!)
any views?DFW nerd 144

hmm difficult one scuba you have nearly completed the bronze level and the money would take you past silver level still time to go so include it and go for gold lol
nothing like a challenge and then you will have tripled your original target
go for it!!! thats my opinion anywaySave 12k in 2015 member 187. £62.50/60000 -
Hi Scuba,
Think it's personal choice, I've included things such as cashback for cc or ISA interest but didn't have any bank charges to try and redeem so haven't bothered with that.
At the end of the day I'd say as Wilf has done, go for it, and try and aim for gold if you want. At the end of the day you've got a lot more money to date this year than you ever expected and that's better in your pocket rather than someone else's!

Scuba, I would most definitely include it in your running total. I would have included interest earnt from my savings for the tax year ended but i didn't start the challenge until April 1st. As the funds have materialised after you started the challenge I would go for it. Good for youDEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0

congratulations on that cheque scuba! Its entirely up to you whether you want to include it in your total!
The reason we decded not to include bank charges was because not everyone had charges to reclaim and the amounts were quite high, but your cheque is slightly different! go with whatever you want Im sure others will not mind!
wonder how boomdocker got on with the car boot sale?finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0
