made another 99p on ebay today selling some free simcards and then had the biggest shock of my life with my first match bet. placed my payed bet yesterday and today played my free bet with sporting odds. my husband told me sporting odds free bet was snr so i had to find a good bet to get the most back. i did my bet and let it go then just checked and found id won in sporting odds but not just that it was stake returned so im £14 better of than i would have been if it had gone to betfair. i cant belive it thought id get £8 and got £14.:j  :rotfl:
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed
  • thats a great total you have there abisnail75!

Thanks finallydebtfree - it's a bit distorted really as I am waiting for some of it to be credited still but it's on it's way and I think I'll be slowing up soon.

This challenge has really inspired me to make money from nothing. I hadn't heard of Quidco, match betting, Indiefield or Pigsback before so am making the most of it! Am hoping to be debt free in a year but my lodger has just told me she'll be moving out soon so that will require more effort to rent again and I'll miss her as well as her money - £350/month. Looks like I'll be needing the money to see me through the gap...

  • Hi, wonder if I may ask some advice please. I have a jarful of money off coupons that I am thinking about putting on ebay but I wondered what everyone thought of the 'not for resale' comment on the back. I have a variety of coupons some for money off food items and some for restaurants, should I list them separately or put them together to create more interest? thanks caz

  • grrrr....i put my phone on amazon the other day to sell it and already i've received and email from a Nigerian scammer pretending to be from Amazon....

Also, bought some concert tickets off ebay for my bf then found out that he's not going to go so i'm selling those on again (the seller didn't want to give a refund). I spent £93 on them....hope i make most of it back :(

ordered two £10 vouchers from Pigsback and I received two envelopes...one which was empty!!! waiting for Pigsback to respond.

haven't had time to do any more matched betting with uni stuff etc.

    funds are going down!!!

on the upside, i've sold another book on amazon for £2.22 on the 22nd (and 2's my favourite number :D).

We sold a couple more bits off ebay yesterday but I won't update my total until I know the money is there!

My efforts here are slowing down a bit - I really need to get my act together because the only things I have put on ebay are likely to get 99p if I am lucky, and my Amazon things don't seem to be going anywhere.

I am hoping to sell my Dad's old iMac later in the week so that will boost the total but if they don't offer me the money it deserves I will hold on to it for a while.

DH has a credit card (one of many) with Egg which is just under £4000 so I want to make enough with this challenge to pay it off completely. doable, but more effort needed! Still, it gives me something tangible to see for our efforts!

  • Oooooo I sent off a letter to the council for the house where I lived 2 years ago. I realised that I'd never been claiming my 25% student discount on my council tax (I also lived with a non-student). They've agreed to give me a retrospective discount and I have a cheque for £287- that's bumped up my total!!!

I have 3 hours of teaching (in addition to my regular 'job') booked in for Friday so that'll be another £36 :D
  • Well my challenge is on hold...Til I get better anyway!
I've got a viral throat infection  I'm in agony and really peed off!! BUt on the plus side...my non smoking is doing really well because there is no way on this planet I'm even thinking about smoking even the smallest cigarette!!!
Still waiting on payments for 3 ebay items. still have about 40 listings on amazon to sell and 2 on ebay.
Need to get my backside into gear and start doing stuff but I really cannot be bothered...esp as I've just spent 2 hours in the cold visiting my doc!!!
Ho hum, off to make another honey and lemon!!!

Listed 12 things on ebay last night and then realised I could not put on the secret code as I could not remember it. Can anyone remind me? I will include it in my next lot of listings.

Also just done a balance transfer with my credit cards which will save me £4.39 a week for 4 months hurrah! All goes towards the total to pay off my credit card debt
