    Afternoon all,

Won't have to worry about suncream to-day, it has been misty all day and I am ready to spit feathers, wanted to do a bit of tidying outside, now I will have to do some housework instead.

    JackieO...go get 'em girl!

Dogs in all morning and none of us are happy about it, would like to wash kitchen and hall floors but pointless with them around.

Feel sorry for those off to camp at festivals, have seen the aftermath on a few occasions.

Dinner to-day will be ham, cabbage and new potatoes, will take the rest with me to-morrow, having made cold potatoes into salad, will try to persuade OH that we can stop for a picnic lunch on way and not spend the usual €30 on a meal, really wanting to keep as many pennies as possible together.

Just had a call from SIL re transport to wedding party of niece in 10 days....not sure if I will be bringing another SIL or not and they don't talk so fudged it as not sure what to do! Never have problems like that with my own family, maybe because there is only me and little brother so don't understand this not speaking business....

Hope that the weather improves for those of you with the same as here, hugs to all in need or want....will be incommunicado until 6th August, so hope that all is well for you until then....happy wedding in Glasgow and happy birthday to Caterina on 5th in London.

Just thought I would shove my head round the door to say hello.

Just finished a cleaning session in the house. I have done 7 loads of washing this week and all dried. Currently have some jeans out on the line at the moment for drying - that brings it to eight loads now - but it is very overcast today and it is taking longer to dry than usual. Tomorrow I shall put the towels on for washing as it is forecast to be like Thursday was (weather wise) so they will dry no problem fingers crossed!

I need to now go through my wardrobes on the clothing front. I put laveder oil in there the other day as I had spotted a moth in the bedroom so I shall be onto that tonight!

    Afternoon All

JackieO that's so unlike you, someone must really have ripped your knitting this morning, glad I don't work in the bank!!

Been out this morning to get DDs birthday cake (19 today), she wanted a sweetie train but it was £15 so I didn't buy it! There will only be a few of us sharing so got a large cupcake thing covered in chocolate instead. Also bought my Euros for my trip to Tallinn on Monday, getting a little bit excited now!

Tru - we too are being buried in eggs, everyone who comes here gets given some as there are about 10 a day!

Cleaned the windows and had a general tidy up but so much more to be done, wanted to cut the grass but it was raining overnight so still a little wet. the weather is glorious now and really rather warm.

Enjoy your Fridays everyone, we are off to Edinburgh tonight to meet up with DS2 and GF, DS1 can't make it (or rather his GF doesn't want him to make it). Will go for a meal for DDs birthday, DS2 booking somewhere so hope it's not too expensive! Take care. XX

If only there was a no-carp bank around :o I often wish things were more simple/honest, espeially after reading about the ASA gargabe with maybelline and lancome at work, I wish products were more like "this foundation will make you look a bit less wrinkly" or "make your dry hair look okay". That's all they're gonna do at the end of the day, if you think a few quid on l'oreal shampoo is gonna turn you into the sixth member of Girls Aloud then you're sadly mistaken!

Good afternoon anyway! Hope everyone's looking forward to the allegedly sunny weekend? Me and OH have a trip to the south downs, a pick your own and rowing on the thames planned- weather permitting! Though I'm so excited to go to a pick your own(can ya tell i'm a city girl?) i'd do it in a hurricane!

    Hi everyone,

I hope you sorted the bank out Jackie. I had a rant at a poor girl at Tesco insurance the other day - I had a prang in April (totally my fault) and i thought that it had been sorted out. Then I got a letter from the other party's insurance to say that Tesco hadn't paid and they were going to take me to court. I rang them and the girl said the magic words, please can I speak to your husband to get permission to speak to you. As I toldher, I am a named driver and it was my accident, there are no data protection issues. As I was mid rant DH took the phone from me and gave his permission asking for it to be put permanently on file, but I am still fuming about it.

Halight, glad to see you posting again, I hope you have nice weather. I must admit you gave me visions of llamas packing suitcases which made me smile.
