Not much but I haven't got a clue how much they cost! :rotfl:

I wanted to get her slippers and the something else for about £25 all in!
  • Get yourself down to Debenhams and ask one of the lovely ladies for advice on a good purse to pick for your budget. You can get a nice pair of slippers from M&S for about a tenner (unless you want to go cheaper in which case matalan do nice ones) so I reckon you could get a nice purse for £15. It's the thought that counts afterall, and as long as you don't go some really outlandish purse I'm sure she will love it. Just make sure it has a zip up coin part and some space for debit & loyalty cards, plus the cash notes section and you'll be fine! I love the Radley purses (they have little dogs on them) and would be chuffed to bits if someone bought me one, but they are about £25-£40 so prob a bit over your budget.

I tried Debenhams last week and they had naff all! :undecided

Will have another look though. But I swear to god, if anyone tries to spray perfume at me I'm gonna trash the joint!

  • What other stores do you have where you live? John Lewis? Fenwicks? House of Fraser? Actually, you might get a nice one in M&S while you are slippers shopping, lol. Next might have some nice ones too.

I like the purse idea actually - do you want an everyday purse, or a going out purse? One just to carry cash, and maybe the odd card, or one that will hold lots of cards, driving licence, photos of the kids etc etc? What is your budget?

(I'm not just trying to freak you out - genuinely going to try and find you a nice one online!)

Edit, skip the budget question, I just read back a bit and you're talking around the £15 mark?

Halfords.......:o When I was overdue with my first baby, Marks & Spencers had this thing going whereby if your waters broke when you were in one of their stores, then you would receive some sort of M&S goodie bag........

So, there I am plodding around town the size of a small block of flats, and OH keeps dragging me into Halfords. When I asked what it was we had to be looking for that required going into the Halfords every other shop we went into, he replied "nothing, but I am hoping they might do what M&S do if you go into labour....."

Needless to say, I didn't go into labour in Halfords, (thankfully) so he didn't get a free socket set and emergency roadside triangle.....

    Sorry........back to purses.....
