I only wanted a few pairs of leggings, they were two for £8 or £6each before the 50% off so i thought i'd get them for the most of £3 each maybe even less if the multibuy glitched. Turns out they weren't included in the 50%off deal. Really annoyed as they were under the signs and clearly leggings are a summer item. Complained at cs with no joy, might just take them back next week as don't really need them right now.

I went to tesco on Friday and brought my girls a summer cloths for next year. Got to the till and nothing scanned at 1/2 and the items that were in the sale were scanning at a higher price, the youg lad on the till was quite dippy so I just paid and went to CS. Long story short managed to get £38 cash back for double the difference so got all the clothes for free plus £4 profit.

My first ever DTD!!!! (although I did have to ask for it)

I went in to my local Tesco today and picked up 3 items,2 were in the sale and 1 was full price.when I got to the checkout it took the 50% off 1 of the sale items but not the other 2 items even though they were included in the sale.
The girl at the checkout said to pay for them and then go to customer services so I did, they said they were having problems with some of the things in the sale and as they offer double the difference I would get a full refund and get to keep the items.I was well impressed I got 3 items for £1 saving myself £13.
It is worth speaking to customer services if you find something has not gone through at sale price and you will end up being better off.

What a farce. Bought 18 items of kids wear on Saturday from our nearest T. Noted that discount did not seem right but impossible to tell which items had been discounted and which not. Had bought some earlier from another branch and although the discount appeared all over the place it was correct overall.

Sunday, went to local CS (one sympathetic and the other very frosty) who rescanned and found 6 items not discounted (all sale items with red stickers). Immediate response was "only applies to selected lines" but had no documentation on what those lines were. Called duty manager (not on clothing) who repeated "selected lines only" . Pointed out example of signage that said "all t shirts and tops" and the fact that one pair of summer t shirts had gone through at 50% off whilst the other had not. When I mentioned about taking it further she wasn't initially bothered but agreed to go and have a look at the department. She eventually agreed that we could have our 50% on the items that had not been discounted (probably to get rid of us). I asked if anyone else had complained and the unsympathetic CS person said no and they were not aware of a problem. Very strange because when we made our earlier purchase at the other store, we were confused about the discount and although correct, the clothing manager there said she had had lots of complaints due to how the discount was shown but all their items where 50% off so in the end it was correct. It took us about 45 mins on a Sunday morning to get our money back and I forgot about double the difference which was not offered.

Don't relish another long argumentative session with CS so do you think DTD applies in this case and should I take it up with the main customer services?

yes DTD does apply but the do not offer it anymore you have to ask for it! Not sure where you stand now after the transaction
  • Do they notify you when an order is ready to pick up in store? I placed an order on Friday and haven't yet had any phone call/email etc to say its ready for collection? On the website I'm sure it says it would be ready for the following day?

Log back into your account and check the status there - they didn't bother emailing me to say it was delivered to my store yesterday - I picked it up this PM.
