I have had a wonderful day. cooking 15 jars of chutney, cleaning my kitchen, listening to an audio book on my ipod. bliss. I even decided that as I've saved loads of money this week, I could afford to get my hair done. don't worry! it only costs me a tenner, and that's only because I wont let her do it for free. my good friend is a hairdresser who works from home and is the only one i have ever had who knows how to deal with curly hair properly! so I have a lovely summer 'do.
I also mended my favorite trousers, husband's friend's karate Gi trousers (accident with a ceremonial knife) and got 3 loads of washing dry on the line ;)

Dear Bramble, please try to stop worrying. Worrying about what might happen won't stop things happening. Sometimes bad things happen to us and sometimes good things happen. Try to focus on some good things, e.g. cuddling pup & taking him for walks and finding blackberries, knowing you are great working and looking after the house and cooking meals from scratch...
Worrying is exhausting and doesn't help you deal with things. Lots of hugs and positive vibes and prayers for your Grandad x

On a lighter note, just wanted to say thanks for all the good wishes for yesterday, much appreciated x

    Evening all!

someone knocked my wing mirror off my car today

Dad just called, he wants us to go to Scotland next weekend to visit grandpa. I shall be going up, might offer to get insured on dads car as split the driving.

I think i'm feeling totally overwhelmed by everything. Money, work, BIL, FIL, Grandad. I feel on edge all the time and it's exhausting. I don't relax much because life has taught me something bad is always around the corner (i don't take holiday from work because if i ever lost my job my holiday pay will be a cushion to help me job hunt) I'm just rambling, but i need to, i don't confide in anyone, i don't trust my friends, they thrive on someone's life being worse than their own. ARGH

The worst part is theres nothing i can do to make it better.

    rant over.

kitchen is clean, washing on the line and some is in the machine. I've got a huuuge pile of clean bits to put away.

I love that our indian takeaway gives us tupperware boxes with the food in. added loads to the stash.

going to catch up on everyone else's day now x

Even the bit about loving the tupperware i get free from my local indian takeaway ;)

Thanks guys, i know i shouldn't worry but i do.

i think i'm burnt out, shame it's OH's busy season and we can't justify a holiday! Maybe pup and i should go away somewhere together...

    Evening All

LOU hugs hun you're really going through it at the mo
BRAMBLE you're doing the best you can with what you have, hugs hun.

MOLLY Happy Birthday to DS 3.

Had my interview and they are very keen on me. I need to do my sums, it would mean a bit less money a month but there's no point in killing myself in my current job just for a couple of hundred extra a month.

BARGAINBIRD I did watch Poor Kids on BBC3 last night after GEORDIE FINISHING SCHOOL, it really upset me especially the 11yr old boy living with his Dad and older sister. They were obviously bright articulate kids who had no way of getting to university.

Have been through all my food cupboards, fridge and freezer and written a menu plan for the next 2 weeks. Had Toad in the Hole and trifle for tea. Can't believe that DS finally likes Toad in the Hole after years of trying to persuade him to eat it :D! Also made choc chip cookies.

Have taken big dog back and had a tidy up. Looking forward to and early night.

    Have a good evening all

    Jan x
