    Morning All,

Sistercas just caught up with yesterdays thread, what awful news. My cousin committed suicide about 17yrs ago now in the same way. It was a terrible time, he was 23, such a sad waste of young lives. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers today.

BargainBird I did ok yesterday as you said, had a few biscuits:o but did do a long walk with DH last night. I have committed to walk every day for a fortnight, and hopefully form a habit, also plan to stick loosely to the WW points, I have all the books so dug them out last night and really going to try hard, feel so much more positive when I am eating well.

Just a pottering day today, need to have a swish and swipe and wm on already, another gorgeous day here, we are doing ok for sunshine at the moment.
Tea tonight will be omlettes as the freezer is pretty bare, but have lots of storecupboard stuff to keep us going, will try and hang on until after the end of the month before buying more food.

Flutterbyuk, hope the weather clears up
Halight nice to see you posting, we wondered where you had gone:)

Anyway Happy Thursday all J x

    Morning Lads and Ladies

SC - Thinking of you all xx

Did anyone watch BBC3 lastnight (poor kids):eek: blooming shocking it was. Also watched a certain Jo Frost too, the naughty stool has now been injected into our house and spike has been on it already ;). I have to crack being such a push over...as i can see myself turning into my mum, which i feel i took the mick out of growing up :o, which is dreadful :(. Am also attempting potty training which is proving difficult as he wee's with pants on or constantly wiggles his bits at people that care to look :o.

Today - DD2 and DS going to MIL's, DD1 is coming cleaning with me ;). Have paid for ironing to do too.

    Tea tonight Sausage n mash.

    Have lovely days xx

Sistercas - still thinking of you all.
Anniestar - Well done. Very brave of you. Hope all goes well.
Halight - Good to see you.
    Happy Anniversary to those celebrating!

Been reading most days but not had chance to post. The weather here has been absolutely fantastic for the past few days so I siezed the moment and started to paint the woodwork on the outside of the house. This is a job I have never done before (apart from painting the front doors). I have managed to clean it all, sand it down and give it a couple of coats of paint so it is looking really good. I don't mind the small ladder but will need to get someone in to do the rest but at least it will be cheaper now I have done a lot of it.

Had a day off yesterday though, DD and I took the bikes in the car and went over to Cumbrae on the ferry and cycled round the island. The weather was glorious and we had a picnic on the beach and even went for a paddle! Good to have a day out, it's not often we are off together these days. Quite OS as we took our packed lunch. Great to see so many families having a good day out. Unfortunately had to go to work at 7 last night so was pretty tired when I got in!

Having a chilled day today, will clean and tidy the inside of the house which has gone to pot and generally relax. A friend took me for a ride on his motorcycle the other evening which was brill but my back is quite sore now!

Hope you are all well, if not hope you're better soon, take care. XX

    morning all

its all doom and gloom here at the moment. my nan from the side of the family i dont have contact with is dying. they contacted me on sunday ti tell me. i havent seen her in about yr or so. she has dementia and i was pretty sure i would be forgotten about but according to the nurses she didnt :o:( she had a memory book with pictures of all her children/grandchildren/great grandchildren. the only picture of me there was on my wedding day and a pic of ds on his christening. sat with her for a couple of hrs yesterday and sunday. finding it hard to get my head around the fact she looks so different to how i remember her. its like its not her iykwim :o her face looks the same but she has lost so much weight and looks so pale :(

meant to be away at the weekend for a few days but dont want to be away when she passes. theres not much i can do being here becasue i cant be near the rest of my family. as for the funeral... who knows :(

anyway enough moaning from me. hugs to sistercas and anniestar. have been lurking even if not posting

Good Morning all well my lazy day off turned out to be anything but.Ben arrived and cut my jungle back bless him ,he also brought my late OHs guitar which needed restringing and he wanted to give the front a coat of varnish to brighten it up a bit so it was turn out the cupbaords un the stairs to find the varnish and paint brush. Then he wanted a tiny bit of black paint to touch a few bits up on it so off we went to B&Qs and got a small pot of black paint .Ben did the touching up then eldest DD rang to say she was arriving with picnic lunch as she was going off to Lanzarote today on her hols so whe wanted to see me before she went .DD arrived with her dd ,now my DGD Holly is a lovely lass but a bit of a whirlwind and you know it when she arrives. She straight away wanted to take over from her cousin Ben and sort his guitar out and Ben doesn't let anyone touch his beloved Granddas guitar as its his pride and joy .So things got a bit fraught but I managed to calm the pair of them down (I don't know, at 18 and almost 16 they were worse than the little ones.)
Ben " don't touch it its mine and I don't let anyone touch it"
Holly " it was my granddas and if I want to touch it I will "
Ben " No you won't you're a girl what do you know about anything " and on they went bickering for about ten minutes till I felt like laying into the pair of them with said guitar.
Eventually peace was restored by me asking Holly if she would kindly pop across the road and get some muffins from the cake shop .She like to spend cash especially when its not hers ,so off she went and I managed to talk Ben into putting his guitar into the conservatory and we locked the door and had lunch I knew DD and DGD didn't have a lot of time anyway and sure enough after lunch they went off to do their packing .I should be the leader of the U.N. I can pour oil on the most troubled waters and bring a bit of peace.:):) Then Ben wanted to get his new strings so off we went to the nearest shop to find it had closed for refurbishment so back home to search the 'net to find somewhere else he could get them Found a shop in Chatham so we went and got them result Ben is a happy lad and he has his new strings .After I took him and his bits back to his house my youngest DD asked if I would take her to her new dentists as she was a bit nervous so loaded the car up with three small protesting little boys and DD and we went to the dentists .I had promised her I would pay for her treatment as she was a bit short of the readies this month .We came home her with a list of appointments and me lighter £204 !!! but at least she will get everything done .She needs a crown and four fillings and one extraction right at the back which was her wisdom tooth.I thought well at least once its paid it will make her go.She's not had a lot of luck with her previous dentist and his treatment wasn't very good hence the reason she kept putting it off.I persuaded her to try my lovely Nathaniel and she seemed quite happy with him.
Today I am just about to go to her house to take the boys down to the country park for a few hours .I have packed my bag with a book, knitting and some goodies to keep them happy.I will also take with me for this afternoon a jigsaw that we can all do.I keep changing things we are doing everyday so they don't get too bored.most of the things are free that we do as we shall be off on holiday soon so we are saving the pennies for that.I must remember to take some masking tape with me as their cricket bat is looking a bit frayed around the edges.
Well have a good day everyone its cloudy but warm here in north Kent
    Take care
