  • Hi Everybody,

I listed a lot over the weekend so will see what happens next weekend.

I also used £20 in coupons in tesco on Friday so will add that to my total. I watched an episode of that extreme couponing which inspired me to sort some out.

Also, my son asked to go to the Safari Park so I signed up to the deal that was on here last week and we went at weekend. We all had a great time. Going to add £40 to my total as we were going to go any way.

    Take care

    I need help!!!
my step dad need to insure his car and his van, and has asked if i will help him by comparing prices online for him, he doesn't have a clue about the internet.
so im going to use a cashback site for the searches, my question is....
if he decides to take a policy out, with say churchill because thats the cheapest, would i need to then go through the cashback site again to take the policy out, or would i still get the insurance cashback, plus the search cashback, just by doing the original search for the best deal??
Ive not used cash back sites much...does what ive just wrote even make sense?? :o :rotfl:

The cash from TCB has arrived so now I've shared the dividends I have added £13.76 to the pot.

I seem to be waiting for quite a bit of money to reach my account at the moment, let's hope it arrives quickly!!?

Have a prosperous week everyone :)

Big hug Froglet, this is a very worrying time for you. This happened to me about 8 years ago and with hindsight it was the best thing that happened and I took on the rent and all bills myself, found I could manage and bought a house but it was a very scary at the time so I feel for you.

ok, first of all. Comparison sites are not necessarily the cheapest!

You should also check independent companies that do not use cashback sites as they often offer their own cashback that is payable directly from them and they maybe cheaper!

    Direct Line
    Swintons

These are not found on comparison sites and they offer their own incentives - ie cashback.

Google them and have a look at their websites. Do quotes through them first, see how much they are quoting.

Then, open a new browser, open your cashback site, ie Quidco or Topcashback.

Type in compare the market, and whatever company you can think off, RAC, AA, do the quotes.

When you decide which one is the cheapest or offers the best cover, clear the cookies and cache on your browser - and then if it is one that you can get cashback through Quidco or topcashback, go through them, type in the name of the company you are going through or if it is the comparison site, type it in, type in the details again, and then submit the application. Your cashback will then be processed.

    Does this make sense?

Thanks everybody. I am waiting to hear back from my landlady and then I need to look at my finances again. I finish next May... so just need to keep at it until graduation and stay focused so I get a good degree. My friends say I've been through worse and I am sure it will only make me stronger. I have a focus group and a mystery shop lined up so that's another £63 this week!! :)
