Needless to say 5 days later still no sign of payment
And I'll cheer you up...
I got £10.24 (in total, after Paypal fees) for something that was being sent abroad, I completely misjudged postage costs and it cost me about £11.50 to post. So not only had I given my item away, I lost money on postage, and still had my ebay fees to pay on top of that!
To make matters worse... about a month later they opened an unpaid item dispute, so I had to refund the lot, meaning that it had cost me around £15 to give my item away... to someone who may not have even received it
Well I found myself a huge bargain today! :j
I've been looking for a new fridge freezer for a while as mine is knackered and has started leaking. We have a Comet Clearance store near us so have been mainly looking in there hoping to get a bargain, but I've been struggling as we need one exactly 139 cm tall as it has to fit under a cupboard. I'd just about given up as every one I saw started at 140 cm, so was planning on spending £249 for one I saw online that was exactly 139 cm.
Thought I'd have a quick look in today as we were nearby, and I found one - £59.99!!! Even the bloke who sold it to me couldn't believe the price! Looks quite nice as well, and suprisingly spacious inside.
To top it off, they have just started a promotion so I got free delivery (normally £9.99), and free removal of my old appliance (another £9.99) :T
Obviously I'm not going to add the £190 I saved from not having to buy the expensive one (although it would be lovely!), but will add the delivery and removal costs as I would have had to pay that anyway.
(£86.76/£310)
Oh, and for anyone planning days out over the holidays - do check if it's worth using vouchers before going. We're going to the Eureka kid's museum tomorrow and I was going to use a voucher, but I found out that paying the entry price in full will give you a year's pass, yet if you use any vouchers you will only get a day pass. I'm planning on going a few times over the next year so it's not worth using a voucher. I've looked at going to Magna as well and I think that might have been the same.0 -
Lolly, sweet and D&D - im glad in not alone
We are all so keen to earn money yet are giving it away :rotfl:oh dear, we need to change the strategy....
Better luck for the rest of the month to us all :j:j

Does anybody know when the next ebay free listings day is going to be?
sorry hun, Ebay don't tell us in advance. Usually someone gets an email on the thursday before free listing days and posts on here, giving us all a chance to get listing.
So keep reading... here's hoping for one soon.0 -

Hi Everybody
Another £5.00 after fees and postage for an item sold on ebay yesterday.
I just want another free listings day so I can list another load of stuff. I was also thinking of doing another car boot sale if we get some decent weather so fingers crossed.
Apart from that I am going to have to get my thinking cap on.
