No seax one more essay and a 10000 word project to do by the end of September. Hence the need for organised activities over the holidays. I just wished the OU started their course like everyone else in September and the finished nowish. That way I would have the summer free. Sigh! Still this will be the last course I do for a while, as we will hopefully be emigrating soon (fingers crossed).

    HI Sea

The shed is OK - big and spacious but a bit cluttered with OH's stuff. No kettle but it is only 60' down the garden to the kitchen door.

The best thing is that as it is separate from the house there is no noise! You can't hear the children's squabbles or if they put the TV on.

Yes I am meant to be working today. It's deadline day for a journal I edit so I'm editing the articles as they come in, something I enjoy. I've faffed about a lot this morning so if you want to do a challenge I'm up for that! there are 4 articles in front of me so I'll log off until I've done those.

OK 2.30 it is - good luck with those declutters!

I've just popped back online in a panic as I sold a book on Amazon and couldn't find it! I immediately convinced myself I'd sold it at the carboot sale last weekend - I ould even picture the buyer!

Anyway I was all set to buy another copy to be sent on when I decided to look in another box and of course there it was. Doh! My stock must have got a bit mixed up when I was sorting stuff for the bootsale.

Anyway that's just a long-winded excuse in case you spotted my green light on when it shouldn't have been! Will nip up to the post office now and then get on with work, see you at 2.30

I had a log cabin put up in my garden (though OH calls it a shed  ) and it is heaven to go and work in there - I get far more done than if I work in the house, I can hear the birds singing which is very therapeutic in itself, and I can keep away from the mess of the house, and the bickering of the children in the holidays.

Best investment I made last year!! I would recommend it to anyone :D

seax it is a bit complicated, because there is an issue at my OH work before we can go. But we are hoping to go soon after my project is in, so October. And there is SO much to do! So I better get my backside in gear too.

    See you tonight?

Our shed is lovely too. It's 6m3 so bigger than any room in our house. It's an odd combination of high-tech studio (state of the art scanner, printers etc) and garden shed (cobwebs and creosote).

It's always been very much OH's space, though, and it's full of clutter as he's a terrible hoarder. I wish I could persuade him to ebay the lot.

I just heard from a friend who I'm doing a comping challenge with. We are entering writing competitions. She has just won a weekend in a luxury hotel in Pembrokeshire in a travel writing competition in The Guardian. I didn't get round to entering that one - but her win is lovely news and a kick in the backside to me to enter more. My winnings currently stand at one voucher for an Indian restaurant. Very nice but I'm really after cash or a holiday.

    :)

Well, not sure how you're doing - but I've managed to do the washing up, tidied and cleaned the kitchen - even hoovered and then MOPPED (for the first time since the floor was laid :)) the kitchen floor.

I have not started upstairs yet - eek! But have put on some washing (although tumble drier here I come with the foul weather) and will have a little break now and hten get back to it. I wasn't timer setting so will do that as it makes me faster :)
