Seaxwyn hope you don't mind me posting. I too am a procrastinator and as a result cause myself much unecessary stress and worry. I always find that when I sit down to do the job that I have been putting off it is never as bad as I imagine.

I have read the whole of your diary (another way to procrastinate) and it has inspired me to do something about my procrastination. I have spent a couple of hours this morning doing things that I have been putting off and it feels good. For me I think procrastination is a symptom of slight depression and not sure where I am going. My oldest twins are off to Uni soon (I have 2 sets 18 and 3) and I desperately want to move house, deal with my debts, enjoy some quality time with my OH and youngest twins but I just feel so lacking in get up and go. I spread myself too thinly and I don't feel I do anything well. If I could just organise my time better life would be so much more fun but I need the energy to get started. Have a rotten cold at the moment but that is only an excuse for the last couple of days not the last few years.

I was 50 last month so it is high time I got my act together. Went away with OH for the weekend and we managed to reconnect which is great and it has continued since we have got back so we are both a lot happier about that. We were just so busy in our own ways that we lost touch with each other we love each other madly but forgot to show it - so sad I feel we have wasted so much time.

So if you feel like an anti procrastination challenge I am up for it. Glad to see your light is off so hopefully you are being productive. I think you are doing well in difficult circumstances. Your OH seems to needs a lot of support. I feel that it is hard for men of a certain age (my OH is 60) they lose confidence in themselves but sometimes it just seems too hard to cope with them as well as everything else. Sorry for the ramble I will keep an eye on your diary if that is OK and I hope things turn a corner for you. You have worked so hard but it seems sometimes as it is like being in sticky toffee everything tries to drag you back.

Right I am off now to do some more things that are waiting.

Thanks so much for posting Double Trouble, we certainly have lots in common (even if I only have half the number of twins you do). You have described so well how I feel about procrastination, OHs needing support and wasting time.

I have been procrastinating AGAIN this morning, when I have a lot of lovely work on my plate. And its actually really enjoyable when I get started. DT, shall we work out an anti-procrastination challenge? Perhaps we can think of something that will help us both organise our lives better and be happier.

I am now going to log off and concentrate for the rest of the afternoon. But before I go.... car passed it's MOT except for something to do with the headlights, which doesn't sound too expensive (famous last words). And the Scoutmaster emailed me details of a summer camp that I know the girls would love to go on (and I'd love them to go) costing £275 each!!

Also, I got paid for a job so am now back under 35k again.

:T with regard to the car and  to the summer camps thank God my little ones are too small to go to camp and the oldies are working so hopefully will pay for their own holiday. Well done on sub 35K

You have not logged out so neither will I until you do and then you will be stopping me from doing this mail shot which I should have sent out last week and it will be all your fault:rotfl:

Found out! I can't keep away.

Great tactic Double Trouble. Hope you did your mailshot. I have been rubbish today and as a consequence will have to work through the weekend. Stupid, isn't it? But we can and will change.

Hi Seax and Double Trouble. HOpe that you have managed to NOT procrastinate the whole of Saturday away and that you got enough work done, to ENJOY you Sunday.

When ever I read about procrastination, it makes me think that I really ought to do something. So thanks for that. I wrote 2 letters this week and 3 emails to friends and family, that i 'couldn't be bothered' to do until now.

As I have very few friends not maintianing these links is pretty dumb

Good luck with what you have to do.

Oh and Seax here is a thought. Would your newspaper round money pay for the children's camp? If so then put it into another account and bobs youre relation!
