    So all sounds pretty good!!!

I have to admit, that when we were decorating the tree yesterday, I got the old "mince pie case, pipe cleaner and glitter" decorations out, dating back to circa 1996, and handed them to DD, and she nearly came out in hives too :o

If only I was that particular about the rest of my house :rotfl:

DD and DS started getting tips from their paper rounds yesterday - both were very impressed! I think it is great because it shows that people are aware that not all teenagers can be "labelled" in the way that the media would have us believe. Surely anyone who leaves a fiver out for the paper-deliverer at Christmas is very aware that they are not all "hoodies".....(unless the paper-deliverer is demanding money with menaces at 7am on a Sunday morning!!!), and that has to be quite a positive thing I reckon!

Our handmade decorations are lovely! Nothing so tacky as a pipecleaner. We have pinecones tastefully sprinkled with glitter, little ragdoll fairies beautifully sewn, bits of embroidered felt, silk-screen printed Christmas trees, I swear we could sell it all in Ikea! Now there's an idea....

Sorry to but in Seaxwyn, but ... Taxi? You pay £150 a *year* for this? Do you think he'd do accounts from a fair distance away [KC asks wistfully, get a yearning, misty look in her eyes}.....

He does our 2self assessments and our partnership papers for that :j:j:j;):j:j
Think he does it that cheap for us because we have put loads of clients his way and he's always said if anyone asks how much..don't tell them;););)

I'm having a burst of optimism. I've got £3265 in invoices outstanding, OH gets paid on Monday, so I know I can clear the temporary debts, as well as have something towards the tax bill.

We're all looking forward to Christmas. However the DS I bought for DS in a carboot sale is not working! OH is tinkering - he's bought a new battery and some other bits - but that may not be fixed by Christmas in which case we'll have to buy him a present.

The children have done amazingly well, getting presents for the whole large extended family for a total outlay of £2! They won a lot of stuff at the school fete, and have recycled presents given to them. DD2 was given three boxes of chocolates by a young admirer and has repackaged them to make several smaller boxes, she's made lovely little boxes out of black card, which look really classy.

Now I just have to write two features, which I have been putting off in my usual style. If I can write 3200 words today that's another £1230 I can bill for, so wish me luck.

Take that optimism and run with it!

I am sure you can get that 3200 words done today - over £1000 is a great motivator when you are in an optimistic mood!

Excellent news on the children and their own present-inventiveness! Sets them up fantastically for life, being part of a DFW family!
