Leaving London...but where?

Entirely agree with you sunshinetours apart from the bit about Leigh-on-Sea, which IMO is highly over-rated. For me it's essential that I am able to park directly outside my own house. Chalkwell towards Westcliff is much better, Thorpe Bay's great too but towards the end of the line.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

No but for someone moving from London I can see Leigh area being less of a culture shock shall we say than somewhere like Thorpe Bay for instance (which I don't actually particularly like as its a bit sole-less but does have the nice quiet end of sea front and some very very nice houses
Parking would be an issue for me too and one reason why we dismissed Leigh a few times but we visit a reasonable amount inc Old Leigh0 -
Yes, it's lovely for a walk along the seafront etc. I remember some very good times at The Peter Boat as a sixth-former!sunshinetours wrote: »Parking would be an issue for me too and one reason why we dismissed Leigh a few times but we visit a reasonable amount inc Old LeighValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
