Deposited cash into Lloyds TSB account via Post Office - very worried, please help!!

I don't expect Lloyds to do anything, like I said in previous posts I knew it would be useless going to them seeing as they didn't see one red cent (or penny!) of my money. My complaint isn't with them at all - they may be a terrible bank, but at least they've got 2 brain cells to rub together. The P office staff are a totally different breed of animal - the words 'PIG' and 'IGNORANT' are more than apropos!
I DO expect the P office to give me my money back - based on the fact that I have catagoric proof that no money was deposited into my account in the last 9 days. Plus, I have a receipt from the P office saying they were going to do so...and they didn't.
They are gonna have to kiss some major posterior to get themselves out of this one. I'm not a happy bunny!0 -

They told me that it would take 24hrs longer than putting it in your bank account face-to-face...that was 9 days ago!
Slightly OT I know but as @sawsmith1 says co-op use the Link Network to make the deposit, it works like a cash withdrawal but in reverse i.e. card in the reader, amount to be credited input by staff and happens IMMEDIATELY.
It must be difficult for PO Staff to remember all these different processes (still no excuse) you would imagine the PO hierarchy would be able to agree a standard (ish) procedure for all their bank customers.0 -
I saw a similar post on MSE the other day.
I wonder if this ties into this

I've had a similar thing happen at work recently. I transferred £1,000 to a supplier as full payment of a bill. Two weeks later and the company concerned said they have not yet received it. Contacted the bank and the money has left the account, but the receiving bank say they have not received the funds. So where has it gone? All I got from the bank so far is "Its under investigation.".
So what you have with the PO may not be an isolated case.0 -
Right, I went to the PO today. I actually talked to someone that could form sentences - SHOCK HORROR!!!
They've basically shown / proved to me that they've held up their part of the bargain in the form of receipts showing that it was processed throught their system and receipts showing my money having gone through to the 'Clearing House'.
They say it is indeed a Clearing House / Lloyds problem. So the next step for me (seeing as I can't make it to the bank) is calling the clearing house.
Wish me luck!!!
PS: Anybody dealt with these 'clearing house' places???0
