McDonalds

Options
This story starts out as a 'Vent Board' post but deserves to be here.

I rarely visit McDonalds but decided to go to their drive thru last night. I ordered 2 burgers and 2 med fries and stressed NO DILL PICKLE PLEASE in my burger.

I opened the burger to check the contents before I left the car park.......I've had lots of wrong food order experiences so I always check. Disaster.

I marched inside and up to the counter, bag in hand. I was met by the manager, who saw the bag in my hand and sensed trouble.

I explained about my order and the manager interuppted me with, "And it's got pickle in it?"

I replied, "No.......it's better than that."

I ordered a cheese burger with NO PICKLE. I opened the burger for the manager to see.........it had dill pickle inside and NO BL**DY CHEESE!!!

The manager marched off to instruct the burger monkeys to make fresh burgers and fries.

I demanded recompense and got:

Bigger burgers
Large (we paid for med) fries
Free drinks x 2
Free muffins x 2

I didn't get any 'attitude' from the manager, just lots of apologies. So I left as a happy customer.

Nice to see when a company messes up that they recompense the customer, the customer walks away delighted, the retailers hopes the customer returns. :)

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

they get my orders wrong 50% of the time

my ickle one likes plain sausage muffins with no egg or cheese
ask them to try getting that right on a sat/sun morning when they a bit worse for wear... ;)

maybe if we all demanded "compensation" like Nile - they would try just that little bit harder....

oooh and think of all the free food we could get...

I bought a quarterpounder from Macs and when i opened the box, guess what the burger wasn't in it  ,

but even more gross - i bought a whopper from Burger King in Milton Keynes and when i opened the box a bite had been taken out, true.
Head Office very apologetic, member of staff had been eating and had put it down, and someone else had put it in the box !
It put me off burgers for a long time, but unfortunately, it didn't last!!!

just an aside about dill pickles- don't know if this is true or not but I heard that (in America at least) they HAVE to put pickles in the burgers so that they have some nutritious content, otherwise the burger would have to be classed as confectionery due to all the sugar in it and therefore pay a higer rate of tax on it. hmmm
