I pay by debit card every month. I trust it's the only way to ensure it's done.
I don't trust Direct Debit facility to repay CC anymore.. A few years ago Barclaycard set up DD on my bank account (LloydsTSB). The DD was there when I looked at LloydsTSB online banking page but the money was not taken out by Barclaycard when it was due. I rang Barclaycard the day after the payment was due and they couldn't explain why they didn't take the money so I had to pay by debit card. I ended up with first ever late payment even though it was not my fault. I was really p** off.

I pay my Capital One card by DD (Full Payment) - the DD is set up but sometimes I'll clear it myself via my HSBC Online Banking (Bill Payments).
I have a minimmum repayment DD set up on my Sygma cards; and any time I carry a balance I make extra payments via my HSBC Online Banking as and when.
It's unfortunate that I had to re-open my Sygma cards unfortunately my Landlady sprung a nasty surprise on me when I was unemployed saying she's selling the flat so I had to borrow against them to fund the moving costs and deposit on a new gaff.
Thankfully I've moved now and am working on an IT contract for the NHS so they're getting cleared down nice and quicklyCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Pay minimum by DD on all cards but also always check online banking that the DD goes out on time. Usually pay extra in addition to the minimum payment and do this via online banking before the DD goes out.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

That's another way do do it I guess. Next time I may do that as well. But at the moment I'm in the process of repaying my CC debt in full.0 -
Been paying my cards off online via debit card. Have both Barclaycard now set up for DD. One for the full amount, one fixed at 250, though the balance likely will be cleared finally on payday early August, to which the DD will be changed to full, Cap1 card DD for MIN as its 0% until Octobers Statement then will be changed to full. Once that all takes place I wont be making additional payments,I will let the DD operate each month.0

Monthly DD for the minimum, and SO on pay-day (weekly).
The DD ensures I never miss a payment, the SO allows me to control how much extra comes off. It's also easy to reduce the SO if it's an expensive month! It's only numbers.0 -
