  • Can someone point me to the original flylady cleaning methods please? I really feel - especially after seeing Moggins cleaning schedule - that I need to get my act together but being a housework phobic type I need to do this one step at a time. I just spent half an hour hunting for them and can come up with millions of mentions but not the original thread / club / whatever it is. I'm new to this chat room stuff so probably missing something really obvious. Sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere but I have run out of steam reading post after post today.

Tustastic a 'hot spot' is usually the household 'dump' sopot. For some it's a worksurface, others the kitchen table - might be a cupboard in the hallway, or a drawer hidden somewhere. It's anywhere where things generally tend to pile up - and it's called a 'hotspot' because unless you 'damp it down' it spreads rapidly like a wildfire :D

I just woke up in a panic... I looked at my watch and it said 2:45pm... by the time I had rushed about dressed my daughter and found my shoes.. it actually said 1:45pm... so I am now wide awake and dressed to pick up from school... so I guess I could make a start on the list of jobs because so far today I have done absolutely nothing!!!

She can watch bambi.. and I can sort DS2's wardrobe! AND vacuum their room!

Hotspots in my home; all kitchen worktops and hob, dining table, sofa, coffee table, top of chest of drawers in my bedroom, PC desk.
On the plus side, I have been getting the kitchen worktops under control recently, even before joining this thread.
So far today - stripped my bed and washed bedding, got hair cut, picked up freebie from post office depot, done mini-shop at ASDA paying with cashback card, walked for 30 mins to achieve all this. Also notifying all the survey and reward sites of my new email address.
Off out again now to return an Xmas present. Laters:)

hi so far today have only aired our bed, cooked large chicken & peeled it, done our supermarket shop and emptied reloaded dw, plus gave living room a tidy. i'm feeling severely down in the dumps today - think it's the weather it has been torrential rain with gales since we got back and very grey, plus my sleep pattern is to whack but i'll try to keep on top of it. on the plus side because of moggins and her lists i wouldn't be ashamed if we had unexpected visitors!
