Im really pleased with myself today, the house is generally tidy (do need to hoover upstairs tho), but ive finally sat down and got all my paperwork upstraight!!!! Took me an hour, but i did that instead of sorting the drawer in the kitchen i was going to do, that will keep until tomorrow now!!!!0

i am a failed flybaby and a failed dfw so new year new start
. I found this a day late but am delighted as i was staring at mess. So did do the living area things - me and my 3 year old dd had fun doing 27 fling boogie!! and i did do several hours of paperwork as posted my soa today. But did manage cooking evening meal (double so 1 to freeze) dh put tree and decs away, hoovered and polished living area as well as excess paperwork time - am feeling pleased.
have decided to miss dining room so can keep up to right days -so kitchen tomorrow. big thanks to moggins as often i have too much to be able to focus on what to do :T0 -
Please keep posting your lists Moggins.
I have looked at FlyLady but found it too American and not really relevant to my house.
Your version I can follow (well that's the plan) and the house looks much better already so that is an incentive to keep going.0 -
Hi all,
hope this posts ok, for some reason the forums keep freezing on me and i lost last night's post.
W*r* today so didn't get as much done as I wanted. I dusted the landing window and bookcases though and did a 27 fling boogie on the paperbacks there and in our bedroom.
Also did a couple of hours ironing while watching the last two episodes of Torchwood.
Moggins, I'm gratful for your list too, it gives me a structure. So far I've not had to do everything on your lists but I know that eventually I will.0 -

27 flingy-thingy

moggins your lists look like exactly what i need. i've just seen them, and as i went away for christmas & ny without clearing it out, my fridge definitely needs a clean!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Today-
Shined sink, put away excess christmas food (though the cupboards are in desperate need of sorting), tidied, dusted and hoovered passage, landing and stairs, plus hoovered all of upstairs, 30 mins paperwork, one wash load, cleared a BIG hotspot, grocery shopping and a visit to the library - where I managed to pick up The Complete Tightwad Gazette by chance! How chuffed am I?!
Got some recipe books there too - I want to find and copy down a couple of promising recipes per day as of tomorrow. Babysteps!
I am glad it's a kitchen day tomorrow! There is plenty that needs doing in there.
Well done everyone. It's so inspiring knowing we're all getting stuck in together.Sealed Pot Challenge 5 - #1742 :j0 -
Mics_chick wrote:Have done a bit of stuff now:
- dw on OH has put stuff away for me
- gathered most of recycling stuff lying around into plaggy bags - put in car ready for recycley point 1st thing tomorrow
- sorted life insurance forms (been waiting a good coupla weeks)
- going to sort washing and put a load in Washed 3 loads -Dried 2 of them - Just about to put another in washer so will put last 1 in washer for today - OH has folded dry stuff
Going to do:
- tidy up in lounge and hall (not clean it yet tidying takes an age!!) Finally done this  Definitely a night person only think about starting stuff when most people are off to bed
- post important letters Not done
- put 2 overflowing baskets of clothes away Not done
- think about dinner... OH sorted this out too
Had a late start today and never really caught up - plus too plugged into MSE to want to do anything else - but tomorrow is another day...
Not followed Moggins's Flylady Challenge for last 2 days but am definitely starting tomorrow with Kitchen. Will catch up with rest by hoovering/dusting lounge & hall - don't have a dining-room anyway and porch is one of my hotspots probably the biggest/worst  so only plan to visit this a bit at a time
Other plans for tomorrow are to do stuff not done today
- post letters / put clothes away
- take recycley stuff as planned anyway
- sort out bathroom drapes because been bugging me big style for ages
- take mountain of stuff on stairs upstairs out of way at least
If I have time will do half-hour to an hour on paperwork/hotspot cos porch is both - computer is in there cos it's big enough for computer desk & shelves and only place to put it but that's main reason it's such a [STRIKE]sh*thole[/STRIKE] hotspot
See how we get on tomorrow and then hopefully we'll have caught up with rest of you... I tried flylady last year and sort of gave up after a while so I started again the other day. I'm realy truly taking baby steps though. Not shining the sinks quite the way the site says-cos I'm using stardrops of course! Not only doing the kitchen sinks(2) but the bathroom one and the cloakroom one. I put a poster above the kitchen ones which says to "keep sinks empty and clean" for everyone else to go by! They all need nagging as they just dump plates in the sink instead of the dishwasher. Having the poster reminds me also though. I did keep one of my previous hotspots empty last year-underneath the sofa has stayed clear so I am pleased about that. Hopefully I will do the 15 mins hotspot in the bedroom tomorrow.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0
