Oh dear, have completely fallen off the wagon since early this month - and today is being an endless round of 30 minutes bursts as I try to catch up paperwork for school and change beds, walk dogs, iron and deal with the four loads of washing that have appeared while my back was turned.... I could weep as nothing seems to be getting finished. You all seem to be doing so well - I must just be a lazy wotsit methinks.Resolution:

You sound like a busy bee to me - plenty going on at your house! So, ((hugs)) and please don't cry."all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
Afternoon folks! Had a bit of a snooze as I was shattered, being a naturally lazy person all this cleaning all of a sudden has been like a shock to the system
Also managed to twist my back somehow and now I cannot move without being in agony  gonna have a hot bath later and get DD#1 to massage it for me.
Thanks moggins, yeah I'm fine now was just a blip, told the kids today and they understand my frustration - you'd think they'd know better being 17 and 14  - anyway alls sorted - littleist daughter at her nanas this w/e so I'm expecting bags and bags of stuff coming back with her to sort through again tonight.
Beemuzed: Don't worry about it, I'm naturally lazy and I'm finding it a constant battle within myself to do ANYTHING - I'm not the worlds best housekeeper, but I am finding that writing down my list of things to do is helping me loads - I love lists and love seeing them ticked off one by one - otherwise, believe you me my house would still look a like a mingin flea market.0 -
DON'T TOUCH THE PAINT!!!!!!!!!!!
I've done nothing at all towards tidying the hovel.. I'm way too tired.. no idea what is wrong with me I've slept more the last 2 days than the last 2 months!!!
I have just repainted the whole hallway and touched up the manky bits in the front room. Need a tin of cream to finish the doors and ballustrades in the hallway and it will all look new and beautiful again!
DH moving a plug socket upstairs in DS1's room so he can install the new doorframe so there will be mess for me to clear up there soon.. I'm going to strip the walls up there this week as well so we can get another bit of the house belonging to us! I hate other peoples mouldy old decor.. it is hideous paper too.. it will be nice and clean and very light brown when I've done.. DS doesn't know what colour he wants it to I'm making the decision! I also need to sand my whole bedroom at some point.. messy job!
I have loads of washing to catch up on, the BM needs loading, the DW needs loading for the second time.. and I need a nap! There is soemthing very wrong with me.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Yay everything is done
A house my mother could be proud of, though I'm sure that she'll find something wrong. Looking forward to being able to start the week with a clean and tidy house, all the washing done and the meals planned.
Just waiting for the kitchen floor to dry and then I can go put the potatoes on for dinner.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Yet another day of hanging the washing outside and it not really doing anything. Just got it in and hung it round the radiators etc. again. But at least it's washed.
Did a roast dinner and cleared up. The whole house stank of cauliflower so I burned a lavender candle for a while. Not perfect now, but better.0 -
yeaaaahhhhhh :j
I've had "doing the filing" on my list since last week but couldn't face it. Today I thought: Right, I will do 1 hour. Got the shredder out
All done now apart from a few bits and pieces (photo's and reports I have to file somewhere else) I am never going to let it build up like that again!:o0 -
mumoftwo you've inspired me! i'm rubbish at filing too, but am gonna make a cup of tea and set the timer for 45 mins and do it!!!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Go for it Rach... 45 minutes and leave the rest. I had my daughter using the shredder for me, she loves it and I had someone to talk to.0

Sounds like everyones been busy, well I got an hours reading and revising done when the kids were in the play area, so that was good. They are now sat watching TV exhausted after running around like wollies for 90 minutes. Downside DS1 done so much bouncing he's having reoccuring nose bleeds so he's laid down just incase after bleeding all over the floor!
I did all my filing in the first week of flying, and it's such a relief now as what was 6 boxes of papers (:o no kidding ) Is now neatly arranged and filed or shredded and flung if no longer needed.
Right tonight, floor needs a mop over, making dinner soon, then it'll be washing up, bath and bed for the little fellas, and sorting stuff for morningBest do a calendar check aswell and sort appointments for this week.
Oh yes, with regards to going loopy about cleaning, I got told I was harsh when DP rang to ask where plasters were as he'd cut himself and I said 'I hope you haven't bled all over the kitchen'. Well it was Wednesday and I'd just cleaned it all on Tuesday! One day I might be more organised...........
