Can't do any more flings in my wardrobe, threw out the 'Holy but not from the Church' clothes last week and sent 2 sacks to charity shop, I'd have nothing left if I did more, too many clear outs lately :rotfl: I'll be flying naked (not a pretty sight!) but the rest, yep (smiles as already done our bed, needs duvet cover back on tonight :D ) but I knew kids were off for 2 days this week. Got the floor to do, and the dusting, not any space to make a floordrobe as it's only a foot wider than my bed (on 2 sides, no space on the other 2) :rotfl:

Suppose will take advantage of having a small bedroom and do some more in the boys rooms, and spend some nice time with them, they want to bake cookies, list will be posted in morning. Hotspot, well I might just tackle the nasty one I have been avoiding!

My partner works until 3/4am at least over Thursday - Saturday every week, I don't sleep properly when he's not here either, drives me barmy!
One day I might be more organised...........

Woo hoo! i accidentally did most of this today - all apart from the wardrobe and the cobwebs - looks like i've got an easy day tomorrow. I paid 21yodd to do her dsis's bedroom today as i will be sleeping there next week when my visitors come - she did a really good job - well worth a fiver :)
thank you so much for this Moggins - I am now at the stage of only doing your list and my dailes instead of the mega burnout list i was doing before.

sorry forget to say do you clean doors, door ways, skirting, light switches raditors etc just with stardrops?
  • Glad its not just me who hates being alone at night. every little noise freaks me out. At one of our old houses we had a 'ghostly' experience one night and it freaked both of us out so much that we get paranoid still now!

I'm glad its the master bedroom! It really needs a clear out.

We really need to do a shop too! We tried the new(ish) Lidl nearby us, and its full of bargains! I'm actually looking forward to going back there tomorrow!

Fling boogie is to find what isn't needed/used and throw out. Basically grab a bag and go for it. Number denotes amount to aim for. In this case I won't be throwing out 5 but I will check everything in there, just incase.

27 fling boogies are a common junk/rubbish clearing exercise, where you just grab a bag/bin and throw 27 things to be flung in it. I do 27 charity shop fling boogies regularly at the moment to clear out what I have horded over the years.

Doors, skirting etc can be done with stardrops, or just a damp duster, whatever you usually use..I tend to just use damp duster if it's just dusty and a bit of stardrops watered down in a squirty bottle (about a tablespoon) if it needs extra cleaning because of spillage etc.

Light switches, don't get wet of course, can use very slightly damp cloth, babywipe, anything really. If it's very grimey (for some reason my son's room was last week) try some cream of tartar on a slightly damp cloth, rub it on, and then rub off.

    Hiya
I might not have cleaned today but i'm up to date with studying so feel i've acheived something. Will try to get back on track tomorrow but know i've got a long day trying to find an orthopedic specialist for my son which is proving difficult as everyone who's been recommended doesn't see children. Not reeling quite so much today after he told me how jealous all his friends are as he has 'special' thumbs. Don't children just know how to make you cry! Treated myself to a big bar of galaxy so off to read in bed and scoff the lot.

My hubby works away three nights a week at the moment so I can sympathise at those of you who try to keep yourself busy. I put all the little noises in the house down to my cat and try not to think about the fact he's normally purring away next to me!

Ljd1.. bless him and his special thumbs,
did you say your son had eye surgery? I have a visually impaired daughter and she has had many many operations, so I know how you feel.
How come you have to find a specialist yourself?

I'm starting to get this now!

I haven't posted except to say that I'm starting and I've only been going for a little over a week. Well, I say that but I was away over the weekend and I was poorly too so Monday I didn't do much and yesterday I was having a serious sulk because I felt that I'd fallen behind already :(

However today, I picked up the gauntlet, I went and did the bathroom to catch up on yesterday and it took me a lot less time than last week! :j So I moved on to my little boys room and where it took me nearly ALL day last week, I had everything pulled out, cleaned down, hoovered and changed in under half an hour!

Went a bit over the top then and I'm shattered now but bizarrely looking forward to the 5 fling boogie tomorrow as it was something I was planning on doing at some point and 5 things shouldn't be hard.

If I can just do one thing each day that makes me feel proud, it spurs me on. I quite looking in my nice, clear shiny fridge too though it will need a wipe down soon for it not to get like before!
