Pigpen, do you feel better today? Hope so:dance:
I have my strapping on my wrist so it WILL feel better.. Headache, I think I just need glasses to be honest and looking at a close PC screen, knitting and reading do not help. My throat ia still sore but I am quite used to that.. and I am still tired! Drugs are helping.. so I'm taking loads of them. No excuse though.. you ask the Mogster..
Smallfry is just going to have to go down for a nap so I can too.
Oh wow.. the postie just brought me a birthday card from my MIL.. it was my birthday a month ago!!!! It is DH's birthday today.. stupid cow.. I really do dislike her! That can go straight in the recycle bin!.. Morning Flyers.
I keep meaning to check in but i'm finding it hard to keep up. I've been helping my mum get her taxes in order  Which is hard work because her filing system is chuck it all in a bag, and when that bag is full, try a drawer, and if my dad opens a letter, then it could be anywhere in the whole house. DH and i were there until 10 last night, and then i had to come home and do my flying.
In 20 mins yesterday, i washed and sterilised and made up babies bottles, washed up breakfast and lunch dishes, wiped the kitchen sides, and hung up a massive load of baby washing cleverly put on before i ran off out. Just shows what you can do if you need to.
Mum treat us to a chinese as she said it was cheaper than paying an accountant. :rotfl: Not that an accountant would go near her with a barge pole in that mess. My new resolution is sort out her bag of receipts at least 1 hour per week to avoid this situation again next year, as it will be a whole years worth, and not just the 3 months we did this time.
Today, i need to:- deal with post
- pack babies bag for baby massage
- take baby to baby massage
- enquire what other classes i can sign up for at surestart clinic
- make a banana bread in BM
- prep veg for tea
- cook tea - veggie gardeners pie
- wash a load of jeans
- hang jeans up or TD
- empty airers
- do 30mins of ironing
- wash up
- finish sorting out maternity clothes/baby 0-3 month clothes so they can go in the loft ready for round 2. (last few bits - honest, i know this has been on the agenda for weeks now, but he is just outgrowing the last few bits.)
- phone water company
- put bin and recycle box out
- tidy my bedside table - (DH did his last weekend without me even asking him - result  )

mumoftwo wrote:Ljd1.. bless him and his special thumbs,
did you say your son had eye surgery? I have a visually impaired daughter and she has had many many operations, so I know how you feel.
How come you have to find a specialist yourself?
Hiya, he had surgery on his lids rather than his actually eyes and although it took 5 operations things are almost fine now. I have to find a specialist because the one my doctor recommended doesn't see children anymore. On a positive note, my husbands work are willing to pay for him to see someone so it gets done quicker. I phoned a hospital and explained the problem and a lovely, lovely nurse had a long chat with me and said if it was her son there was only one person she'd let him see. So, at least he's seeing someone good. He has an appointment for 6th Feb so going to keep very busy until then.
I hope your daughter is through all her operations now, it's horrid isn't it, but they are so brave.
Take care xxJanuary budget

LJD1,
That is brilliant news, well done for finding a good doctor. And that's great that your husband's work will pay for the op.
All the best for the appointment, we all want the very best for our kids don;t we? We had to travel to Moorfields eye hospital in London (from Scotland) quite frequently for treatment but you would go around the world if it meant your child gets the best treatment.0 -
Right i'm back up and running and getting on with things so;
1) Change bed
2) Dust bedroom
3) Vacuum bedroom
4) Throw five things out but probably not from wardrobe as gutted that last time.
5) Hotspot - the landing (again!)
6) Sort out dried clothes (on clothes dryer in bedroom)
7) Put wet clothes to dry
8) Do a quick five minutes in bathroom as didn't do yesterday
9) Do a 27 boogie fling (as not done one for a few days)
10) Shred 27 pieces of paper
11) Study
Have a good day everyone xxJanuary budget

Tustastic wrote:Any OS suggestions for limescale removal? I'd carry on with the branded stuff but it's not even very effective.
Have you tried cheap cola from the local shop? That works wonders on cleaning kettles and toilet pans. Just pour it in and let it sit for a while. Much cheaper than 'branded' cleaning materials.
LGworking hard at this thing called life0 -
Afternoon all, sorry late posting list, all todays plans went out of the window at 1.30am when my son was sick all over his bed and floor! Meaning 4 loads of washing inc duvets, and having to vax his bed and carpet this morning. Ended up doing the landing while I was on as there was water left in the vax. Cobwebs don't last a second here, DP hates them so I remove any I even see starting. I think they have decided to give up now, not seen any for weeks. So pleased our bed is done already! Second loaf of bread in BM now, just finished making lasagne ready to cook for tea, kitchen is now a tip as I must be the most untidy cook ever, and I'm sat munching on a bread roll dipped in what's left of the cheese sauce (it's yummy BTW
) I'll go tackle the kitchen and washing up once I have read emails etc.
Left to do
[STRIKE]Some dailies, all the floors to do included
3 more loads washing
Remake DS bed once it's dry[/STRIKE] just waiting for duvets etc to dry now
