While I was hoovering the landing and dusting the masterbedroom, I decided to run the hoover and over the whole of upstairs while I was there. It will need doing again tomorrow no doubt :rotfl: I could understand if we had pets but we don't!
There's 2 more loads of washing which I could do...but I'm going to leave it for an hour or so to give the stuff on the washingline a chance to blow through a bit first. Now where did I put those moneybags?
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I've walked the dog, put in two washes, done the tesco shop (and bought a chicken after reading about cooking them in the slow cooker!), sorted out some work stuff and now i'm off to do Moggin's list. I was feeling really down this morning and after writing down what i've done already I feel much better. I'm at children's school this afternoon listening to readers and then taking son to doctor as his excema has got out of control again, poor thing.
Hope it goes ok at school Moggins.
Have a fun day everyone xxJanuary budget

Hi
Could I possibly make a suggestion to help any newbies, such as me, to find the days tasks a little easier amongst all the daily posts please?
Using the same sort of idea as the pigsback thread, would it be possible to edit the first post of this thread on a daily basis, adding in the tasks of the day, so they're all in one place where we can easily find them please?
I've had a hectic few weeks at work (bad time of year for abandoned dogs) so only just getting chance to start sorting the house out since xmas, and believe me it badly needs it lol so can't wait to get stuck into the flylady challenge

Problem with editing original thread is those who need to do catch up, which sometimes includes me, wouldn't have the list to refer to, maybe it can be added to each day I don't know but loosing the list daily I don't think will work for quite a few.
Purplemoon I ended up taking what would have been an abandoned/killeddog in day before Xmas eve as no shelter could take her because they were too full, she's staying with us now
, was initially to rehome her. She's about 4 months old, been a nightmare with toilet training but we're getting there, she's fast asleep on my feet right now. Wonder do you know anything that helps with dry skin on pups, she's been kicked outside a lot before we got her and I think the cold-warmth has set it off.
Right here goes today, first thing after getting children sorted for school etc was to open all the windows, you can tell drunk people slept here last night it stank!!!!! Scented things away now and windows all open, don't care if it's windy need the smell out!
Dailies plus this little lot (which I think includes everything off Moggins list

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
I was thinking of just adding on each daily task so the older ones stay for reference too. I'm also playing catch up and had managed to copy & paste the first few days tasks into a seperate file ready to start when I had some time, but now there's so many posts I've lost track lol guess I could go through each page and search for them though
As for your pup, first of all well done for taking her in, wish there were lots more people like you! :A to help with the dry skin (common problem in winter) don't bath her unless you really, really have to, but give her a good brush everyday to help stimulate blood supply and natural oils in the skin. You could also try giving her some cod liver oil or evening primrose oil, oily fish would work if you don't have any, it's the Vit E and omega oils which help. If that doesn't work then get the vet to check her in case she has an underlying problem. Good luck with her0 -
Hmmmm silly vet I rang last week said bath her a lot, I thought well won't that remove the oils in her coat, I did it once and I think it's made it worse. I'll try the oils, and brushing (she bites me when I brush her little tike!) have some somewhere, thanks
Story behind it was owner said son was allergic (usual lie) gave to her brother who was going to shoot her
my friend went round as he had shot gun to her head and took her but couldn't keep her, so I took her, was temporary but she's settled in so much I don't think I could let her go.
Here's a pic of her just before we got her, looks so sadhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/lil_me/Image009.jpg
And now with my big dafty other dog http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/lil_me/hollyandluke.jpg all cozy
Wonder if it would be better to put the page numbers for each days tasks on the first post, of course would make more work for Moggins and she does lots already but I can gladly add it to my first post of the thread if she can't. Will see what Moggins says when she gets back (thinking of you Moggins hope it's going well)

Awwww poor little girl, she does look sooo worried in that first pic
but much more settled in the other one, well done you! :T
That's a good idea about putting the page number or even the post number or link to it would be good, as I'm not sure how much text you can fit in one post so might run out of room after a few days lol Or on the otherhand I could stop being such a lazy so-an-so and search the thread myself
Talking of which, I'm not getting much done sitting here am I so I best go get started lol0
