Really? Perhaps they are away/busy/otherwise engaged!

OP, you cannot impose your own terms re payment/return etc if selling though eBay. I'd have been narked to receive more than 1 invoice in less than 2 days from auction end. You are required to send the item within 7 days of the buyer buying, and they have 7 days in which to pay. You should bare that in mind when selling things close to holidays/weddings and so on.

It is actually 4 days that you have to wait before you can open a non paying bidder dispute and not 7 as stated.
I have had this many times where people have stated that the item is wrong and i have offered them to send back for a refund and they have never done this as was obviously trying to pull a fast one. sounds like this is a scam to me and they are trying it on too.

I am also with the OP that I send an invoice a day until I get payment. It's really annoying when you sell 10 items and 9 buyers can pay you within few hours so you feel obliged to post next day yet one makes you wait and then have to make a special trip yo the post office just to post that one item and they start sending you emails after 1 day asking where its is yet they made you wait 5 or so days for payment.

They'll raise a dispute. Ebay always sides on their side, I know, we sell on ebay, about 10 things a day (side line of a normal business). Just contest it when ebay come a knocking, but I wouldnt hold your breath in all honesty. We've had to reimburse people before but they never returned the item. Lucky them, free item. Hope it turns out for the best though

still no word from the buyer- and i go on honeymoon on sunday!

if she raises a dispute- and ebay just refund them so i need to press a button (given a deadline?) as i will be on my honeymoon on a cruise ship for 2 weeks so i am not going on a computer!

personally if i would have a problem with an item i brought on ebay- i would want it sorted asap by talking to the seller- not just mentioned it days after they got it- and then not replying back yet!

Sammy if they open a dispute you would have 10 days to resolve things before it can be escalated for the attention of ebay customer services. I don't know how it'd work if you open a dispute yourself, not sure what reasons you could give, but then write in the response bit that you will be unable from such and such to such and such. Any communication can then be reviewed by ebay if they escalate it while you're away.

Or you could take a chance and hope nothing comes out of it.

Wow you sound like a complete pain in the !!! eBay seller! If the item is broken, the buyer is entitled to a full refund - end of.

It's your job to get them to the buyer in perfect condition so if they have been damaged in transit that's your issue and you need to refund the buyer than pursue a claim against the courier or postal service yourself.

If they have been damaged in transit! OP has still not heard back from the buyer or received any evidence of damage! And there's no need to be abusive!

sounds like a tricky sitation. However if they got damaged in transit and you do feel the need to refund the buyer then bear in mind you can claim the cost through Royal Mail (if that's how you sent them).

don't panic or do anything tll you see photographic proof of the damaged products though.

make sure they send you a photo of exactly how they arrived - in the box still in the plastic if poss. If the box is damaged too that will support their and your claim that they were damaged in transit.

From experience, i would say if they are not keen to send a photo then they may well be a chancer. usually people are more than eager to show you the proof if it's a legit complaint!!!
